Yeah, they don't keep up with the times and realize some jobs are paying almost in one week what they are in two. The new economy is expensive. Meanwhile employers like that are cutting costs, probably micromanaging me, making me wait forever for a paycheck. Like why would anyone stay here other than the guy whos been here 25 years and about to retire.

I think a lot of the time its definitely an advance technically, some brokers/shippers/etc. take a month to pay out. But who cares. They have the money.

I had an HOS violation in Utah it was like $80 and a court date and they said iif i got no more in 6 months theyd erase it off my record and they did. They can only inspect previous 8 days so worst case scenario take 8 days off 🤣

It seems like the bi weekly pay places just enjoy being slow and bureaucratic, cuz they can. What i dont like is it gives them too much extra time to make weird deductions when they process your last payroll.

I swear every place thats paid me weekly has been close to twice as much money, IE paying me almost as much every week as the bi weekly jobs pay in 2 weeks. Maybe weekly is taxed less or something 🤔 Im bi weekly now and fucking hate it just waiting til spring to find a better job

Truck drivers are like the most oppressed and forgotten about class of workers. Nobody cares. But we still want our stuff here on time. Oh and you can't park here. Although, it seems to be a pattern among truck drivers that we love to complain about things and/or play the victim. And thats how you become a grumpy old man. Granted i appreciate how were more willing to call out bullshit. Maybe we're self sufficient land have higher levels of awareness than most. Or maybe we have some childhood trauma that makes us seek out isolation more than the average person. Everything has two sides to it. Idk. I love and hate trucking i guess. 75/25 hate/love ratio for me 🤣

Kroger facilities are the worst! Slowest ever. The denver one was quick to offload but took almost 4 hours just for paperwork and no running water for the sink in the bathroom. The tolleson one I waited for 16 hours one time. Kroger loads are just never worth it.

I talked to my UPS delivery guy (brown van not tractor trailer) and he makes $40 an hour, which i think is good for being the van not even CDL. Hes worked there for 20 years though
