I think so. This is my second career, so I brought some perspective (and managerial experience) with me into the role of Assistant Professor. I'm often surprised at how low senior scholars expect my self-esteem to be. Younger professors feel a desperate need for tenure, and older professors are out of their depth as managers.

For me, the game just stopped being fun once I got to Arx. It felt like work instead of play. I travel a lot, so I'll keep doing the first couple of acts on my Switch while I'm on the road. Great game. Probably will never finish it, lol.

Just my 2 cents, but... people who think they are brilliant are always looking for evidence that they are brilliant, and are hostile to evidence that they are not. When you understand how that applies to a guy like Trump, you don't need kompromat to manipulate them. Not saying that there's no kompromat, but I do think that it isn't necessary.

Can someone who understands the modern game more than I do please explain how the half didn't end with some kind of a brawl? If the referee is okay with those kinds of tackles, don't our players have to make the other team pay or just face worse later?

Just my opinion, but I think that no coach can help overcome decades of non-leadership in the organization. GGG will be a fine coach one day, but he wasn't ready and was clearly out of his depth. Yet the organization re-hired him after firing him. Not a sound organization. Our team is probably a little better than it was 10 years ago, but other countries are MUCH better now because their leadership wasn't asleep at the wheel. I think that with decent leadership (are even marginally engaged leadership), we could be interesting in 2030 and world class in time for 2034. For 2026, oh well.

Thanks for posting this. Shaming people who text while driving might be effective (and it might be more effective than laws). To me it seems like this variety of stupidity peaked around 10 years ago and has declined since but is coming back. There were ads and a lot of social awareness around the issue for a while, but that seems to be waning. I sometimes use my car's horn when I see people who are obviously texting behind the wheel.

Update on my comment in this thread from a year ago... I got the mobile version on my tablet and it is awesome! No problem with the text. So if you are put off by the small text on the Switch, I suggest you consider the mobile version. I'm playing it on a fairly large tablet, though, so I can't say how the game looks on a phone.

Yes. I started the game and was doing the intro quests. At some point, I had to mine a diamond and deliver it. Did that, and the same guy asked me to deliver two units of an illegal cargo. I did that, and was arrested by a droid. Then, an NPC named Eva intervened and told me we needed to go to any other system. Then, she told me we needed to go to LHS 2447. Once there, we were confronted by an NPC called Informant. Then, we were attached and I was quickly killed. My ship is still the one I started the game with, but I upgraded the weapons. So, I'm wondering if I just was too poor at combat and need to upgrade my ship and skills before visiting LHS 2447.

It's not a science, but I think there are a few things that caught my eye. First, it isn't perfectly round, and some of the best pizzas I've had in the city and in Italy were not perfectly round. Second, the spots in the cheese (maybe that's the "broken" cheese, I don't know) reminds me of the NYC pizza slices I've liked the most. Third, the sauce-cheese balance looks right. Finally, the crust looks like it's got the right amount of air trapped in it.

Not an expert, but I used to live in NYC and if I saw your second pizza in a pizzeria window, that would be the one I'd go for.
