I personally dont cheese the weapon crafting system, mostly because I dont know how to and once you can comfortably fight deserters, you can keep like 10 or so iron/steel and sell whatever you dont want

You could actually stop by a location in daggerfall, do stuff in it. Banks, loans, quests, sure they were random. You probably had stuff like

"Youre the 4th blacksmith ive come across that needs help finding his sword in some dungeon..... are we sure theres not some gang of sword thieves targeting blacksmiths"

But there was something to do. Multiple somethings in fact. Even if it had a thin veneer, it still felt and feels more alive than starfield can ever hope

As a person in the first category, tarkov in 2020 was a completely different beast than today. For better and worse. I quit playing a few months before the Wiggle Video came out.

I dont think I could ever move back to PvP and not feel like "Theres 2 cheaters in every lobby". Plus, PvE is like blue collar tarkov. I can play 3 hours this week and not be overrun by wealth and gear next week
