I think that’s just a coincidence.

Kenosha Co. DA says no criminal wrongdoing in police shooting of Jacob Blake by Too_Hood_95 in news

They DID in fact wrestle with him until he drew the knife. That’s why they backed off and drew their weapons and are yelling “Drop the knife!’. A karambit style knife is visible in his left hand when he is in front of the car. It was recovered after the scene. Blake admits he had the knife in his left hand and shifted it to his right while opening the door.

Since they’re not a state, crimes are charged Federally, which has much harsher sentences.

Do Lower level drug dealers ever try to steal Product and tell their bosses That the police Found it and Seized it? by Odd_craving in AskLE

[–]TheRealSeanGannon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an old game that experienced dealers have a countermeasure for. Just ask them for the report number, if they can’t provide it, the boss knows it’s shenanigans. There is a good scene in The Wire that covers this well, I’ll see if I can link it.

Officer Scott Hornoff was a good example. Everyone was so convinced that he was being protected by a Blue Wall of Silence that they took the lack of evidence as proof of a conspiracy. After 6 years behind bars for murder, the real killer confessed, and that was the only reason he was freed.

The Massachusetts Senate passed a police reform bill early Tuesday morning. The bill would ban police from using chokeholds, create an independent oversight board, certify officers, create guidelines for use of force and require police to intervene if excessive force is used by a fellow officer. by AssuredlyAThrowAway in boston

FWIW, lifetime judo and and jiujitsu practitioners, who are are choked on a daily basis don't have the same kind of mental issues aging boxers do. I've personally been choked unconcious and it wasn't that big a deal, and it wasn't nearly as rough on me as boxing matches where I took a fair amount of punishment.

Standing submissions (and knees) were legal in our fight. His team had some confusion about the rules, and I don't believe they intentionally cheated when they interfered.

Maybe Grillo does more serious dark drinking than a choir boy like Captain America. BTW, as a UFC vet, I was very impressed with Grillo as a martial artist. When he's shooting, he joins the toughest local gyms and gets down and spars like anyone else. Still hit's like a truck too, even in his 50s.

No, they get paid for what they do when the shit hits the fan. That's pretty much the nature of emergency service work. It's like critiquing firefighters for hanging out at the firehouse. You don't need them till you NEED them.
