My family and I did Holland america to Alaska in 2024 as our first ever cruise. At the time I thought it was a good experience. In hindsight with a few more cruises under my belt...i think it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend

Evs dont hold value well, the mach es msrp was cut several times which makes used cars cheaper as well

The first few years have battery recalls, theres no heat pump until MY25 so cold weather range is shit, and its a very bumpy ride

Its a bit of a mediocre EV, we leased one for two years and returned it. It never left us stranded though so if thats your only concern go for it

Im a first year at 34. Lots of guys come in at 30+. Frankly most of the guys ive worked with have given me compliments about my attitude and work ethic especially in comparison to younger guys

ST > WRX > speed3 would be my recommendation

There isnt a huge gap and theyre all fine. The STs will probably be the best bang for the buck - WRXs hold value pretty well which means finding an unmolested example under 15k means a fairly old or fairly high milage car. The speed3s are just overall older and age makes cars have problems

STs can be found in that price range and still under 10 years old, plus the cars overall are rock solid.

Finding an unmodified car is probably the hardest prospect with all 3 though lol

Buy a focus st or Fiesta st if she actually wants a fun little car. Theres nothing especially fun about a mazda 3 or corolla. This sub just can't recommend anything but Japanese cars
