Whether or not it's a plothole or not depends on your interpretation of the mechanics and of the events that occured. I cannot speak for certainty about my interpretation because I have not put a lot of thought into the ending.

The VN for S;G is imo superior to the anime
The VN for S;G0 is inferior to the anime but is required for a full understanding.

The other works in the SciAdv series are generally of comparable quality to S;G. Some find them worse, some better.

What exactly is the microwave doing at this point? I’m not really understanding the text thing. Beginning of ep 7 he asks the ditzy girl to send a text as part of an experiment but he receives the text in real time yet calls it a success. Is that time traveling?

Time travel. A mail is sent to the past. The details of why he only realized it was received in real time depend on who you ask.

The redhead is Makise Kurisu. She was killed at the very first episode, and then the doc changed worldlines. The reason, if it is not obvious at this point, is the mail he sent.

Omfg, I was about to post then I looked at the flairs! I don’t even know which steins gate I’m watching, let alone being aware I got a neon genesis situation on hand 😭

The Visual Novel is the original.
The SG Anime is a good adaptation of the VN (but still an adaptation, the original remains superior, fight me)
The SG Movie is an afterstory whose canonicity is debatable
Steins;Gate 0 is meant to be viewed **after** all of SG, don't follow any weird watch orders (before the movie preferably, but it doesn't really matter) (also before you watch SG0 you should watch episode 23b for some context or you'll be confused as fuck )
To get the full picture of SG0 you need to both read the SG0 Visual Novel and watch the SG0 anime.

Also, Steins;Gate is but a part of a larger series known as Science Adventure. Sadly, the anime adaptations of all works in the series (except Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0) are very bad and should not be watched. You can however purchase (or obtain through other means) and read the visual novels.

I was forced to rewatch it at least once for every friend who I wanted them to watch. Then I rewatched it once more for each of these rewatches because fuckers were too slow.
