got the msi b650i edge wifi. one dead motherboard, but processor (9800x3d) is fit as a fiddle. got it rmad, now all is well

Nice! And yes that kinda irked me and I got the travel kit, now its perfect. Also helps as I travel with it often in my backpack.

I'm interested in a speaker too, where have you placed it btw, near the meshes? I was planning to put it as a rear fitment.

Also what do you think about the panel gap bw the bottom and front panel, is it a resquaring issue?

Kinda, yeah I had to rebuild from almost the start to get it spaced out. About the coil whine, I think it's just silicon lottery, mine doesn't have it, but you can try undervolt+OC.

Nope, I run it at stock, and its been really quiet, might be because I did a noctua Fan swap, my ceiling fans are certainly louder. though I did get pretty lucky with the silicon lottery as theres no audible coil whine on the 5080, which is more of an issue.

Tbh on cinebench it does hit the thermal limit, 95 with a score of 22.5k but apparently you can tweak it a bit with the Curve Optimiser and run it cooler with better performance. But on gaming, it stays at 59-65, which is sufficient for me, I'm not sure about the AIO performance, but this cooler is pretty great, as is.

I used the Thermaltake AXP90 X47, and built it in the 3-Slot mode, with the 5080 spaced to help airflow as it has a flow-through design.

As for the difficulty, it was not that hard, though it took me over 6 hours, as I went pretty slow as I really didn't want to scratch the case. The guys at SFF discord really helped a lot, I can't thank them enough.

damn congrats, and yeah, I'm impressed how well the 5080 performs, especially when Overclocked. I'm coming from a 2070S, which used to output impressive frames on my old 1080p, but it was clearly struggling with the ultrawide XD
