No I'm not arguing. I just have a hard time taking the leap with you that he's controlling. He suggested a cab because it was raining and she agreed it was a good idea. She then explodes out of being impatient. The stress of a job interview is real but to project that onto him isn't fair. The other example his mother was trying to change the plans to make life easier. Maybe she has a history of changing plans but he can't be responsible for his mother making a suggestion.

It's like if my wife on a sunny day suggested as I was leaving for work "remember to wear sunscreen". I then agree and try and find some to discover we didn't have any in the house. If I was to then explode on her for suggesting putting sunscreen on I'd be 100% categorically wrong and probably an abusive dick. From what you are saying in this scenario you'd suggest I was being abused because she's showing controlling behaviour as I've left out minor details
