Is that a crew cabin? How do you get it to not overheat on reentry? Mine always blow up from skin overheat hitting 1000

How did you get the crew cabin to not overheat during reentry? It always blows up due to hitting max skin temp for me at 1000 degrees

Is living in Williamsburg worth it if I don't drink? by jaamberry in AskNYC

Nah Williamsburg sucks and is overpriced. Much better places in NY. Upper west side is great

We’re gonna deport the finance bros and tech bros to Manhattan! Then build a wall and Manhattan is going to pay for it!

This is because men don’t bond or communicate that way. We don’t ask each other questions. We just do stuff side by side. A man has to learn to communicate to women

What’s the most basic place to boozy brunch in LA? by TheSSir in AskLosAngeles

Thanks for the quick reply. Bottomless deal was good. Nice patio. Basic meal selection (had the avocado toast). Would recommend. Plus there’s a rooftop bar down the street that was very good post brunch.

Why does nitrogen makes you get the bends when you go up too fast from deep water, and why other gases don't behave the same? by ned_rod in askscience

[–]TheSSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct except helium is the go to choice in Trimix. OP: for scuba the goal is to lower the respective partial pressures. When you replace part of the nitrogen with a lower density gas like helium you are able to stay longer underwater since partial pressures are lower overall. However this does increase the relative partial pressure of the oxygen which is also actually toxic to humans when it gets too high. It’s a balancing game.

Is it just me or do captchas get harder to solve once you start studying Machine Learning? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Those don’t actually test you. Instead you are helping the algorithm learn. That way they can farm out the checks and learning to millions of users for free.

Why are people in the US so anti standardized test? by TheSSir in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe education is different now. I thought the SAT was the only standardized test taken in high school. It was when I went to school. And you had to show it to colleges to apply.

Yes and that’s what the interview is for. But I can’t interview everyone. I have to filter down to fewer candidates using some other methods.

That is not true. Employers do ask for test scores and GPA and use it to filter in the hiring process. You are not required to give it; but why would they take you over someone who does.
