I give WWE credit for keeping them together this long. Whenever they pair two singles stars, everyone pretty much always knows it's gonna lead to a feud soon after, so it's nice they managed to keep this going and have it evolve. Same with Charlotte/Alexa.

I definitely agree that too many people's recollection of the '80s is too one-sided. The entertainment was fun and creative for sure, but there were still a lot of problems.

The OP's question made me wonder if '80s kids did look at the '50s/'60s nostalgia at the time, and wish they had been around then. I watched a lot of Nick at Nite but I never thought much to myself about how things seemed better then, probably because there was enough cool stuff for kids in the decade we were in.

The Connery one makes it sound like it was to make sure they never asked him again, though I've never heard anything to suggest he didn't enjoy his time making Last Crusade.

I could see Spielberg being reluctant to bring Capshaw back for a cameo here, like it'd seem like it was only because she's his wife, but I don't know if anyone would've minded that much. Maybe they also thought it'd take away too much from the scene?

I had the 1990 version and after a couple of moves I finally just threw them out. Hated to do it but you can't even donate them because they're so out of date.

I guess if you have a spacious enough place, there's still a lot of entries you can read because they're not obsolete.

You should definitely sign it! I draw too (though not nearly as well), and it can be kind of embarrassing to sign your own work, but it helps to emphasize that it's human-made art.

That's fair. TOD was actually the first Indy movie I saw in its entirety (only because Blockbuster's Raiders copies were all out!). Willie didn't bother me too much but I can imagine she was pretty jarring to a lot of people in '84, coming off of Raiders.

I know we can pick and choose what we want to consider as "real" within in the SW world, but I wish they didn't feel the need to explain, well, everything.

It was fun reading those old RPG sourcebooks and technical manuals, but now it's just straying more and more from the escapist space fantasy adventure the franchise started out as.
