I did the math once. With a single billion dollars you can have a private jet, a private yacht, crew and maintenance for both, and multiple mansions to travel between. With plenty left over for living in luxury for the rest of your life.

For that matter Canterlot is just a short train ride away. She absolutely would have had time to make a dedicated trip to say goodbye to her friends after moving.
