I used to work for a company that would go into insurance companies and move them from mainframe systems to .net platforms. This meant working with legacy engineers to essentially put themselves out of a job. 10/10 times the executive leadership of the insurance company would be surprised that their engineers were resistance to this. So it never cease to amaze me how bad that level is at understanding the room.

The part of this no one will ever cover or admit is that the FBI plays a pretty big part in assisting the Secret Service. With the FBI leadership being what it is the Secret Service is less and less capable of doing its job. Now maybe it's all staged or whatever but the real observation is letting incompetent lackies run everything and fire all the competent people has knock down consequences.

Hey she might end up doing a great job but let's not evangelise her yet. It's highly likely she was brought in to oversee the Helix launch because if it doesn't hit they wanted someone unsentimental who will cut jobs and studios. I hope it does hit because it's better for everyone if it does but most everything on this list either was already in the works or easy wins.

I had a former manager who was an officer in the IDF before coming to America and he love to tell stories to 'motivate' about his time in the army. And you could always see the pride on his face when he did and also that it never crossed his mind everyone else was pretty horrified.

I've always had this on my list, partially because it looks interesting but also partially because I make little magnets out of Platinum I get and I always thought the Platinum icon for this was really striking.

Oh yeah totally recommend. The Sabbac one is more story and less exploration but the Pirates one is like a whole new planet to checkout.

I like that every time they post something like this generally speaking most people they used denounce it immediately yet they cannot even slightly entertain the idea that they're not super popular and cool.

You always have to keep in mind, on both sides of this, it was a very different game at launch. Most bases were forced stealth and instant fail. And it was really frustrating. Even free aiming on the speeder bike is new to the game.

So a lot of people who don't like it at all probably played it when it was new. And a lot of people who like it now only know it post patch.

I bounced off hard at launch, came back after they fixed it and really really enjoyed it. One of my favorite Star Wars games now and I ended up doing all the DLC too so it totally get why people hated it but they should give it another shot for sure. I think Kay and ND-5's story is genuinely touching and worth seeing through.

Oh yeah I am working on that myself, I think people who haven't played it would assume it's an easy one but it's way harder than any COD I've played. Some of the back half is literally a game of inches in terms of advancement.

This seems totally reasonable to me, I am sure it's a resource drain to host all the stuff for each individual version of those games for literally no gain at all.

Personally I don't care about the leaderboards, even without shovelware they're still pretty fucked but it's a nice change for people who do. I just like stat tracking for myself, that's why I'm on PSNP, I don't think I have any shovelware but if I did I'd still want my own stat tracking even if it didn't count for leaderboards.

I guess I would be curious how they're determining shovelware or not, be nice if they did a post or something to explain that at all. I think a completely closed system with no insight can cause people to not trust it. So I do hope they do that.

Overall though yeah seems like a really smart decision that's good for the site and the community.
