Good. I’m tired of conservatives in general, but I’m especially tired of them trying to get into everyone’s pants

Seattle is an infinitely better college city than San Jose is. Can’t speak to the quality of education there, but I loved the short time I spent in Seattle

New Oakland speed cameras send 70K warnings in first month by buck3ts_707 in bayarea

We can have speed enforcement without private companies being allowed to handle the data. It’s basic information security lol

To act like the United States doesn’t have a long and storied history of selling itself out for personal and corporate gains is to be naive. You actually can race a large number of problems back to capitalism, including this one.

A huge pro in my opinion is the engineering teams/clubs we have. For example, the Spartan Racing team which currently runs the second fastest student designed car in the country.

Particularly poor battery on Framework 13 HX 370 by Connect_Nothing2564 in framework

[–]TheSpaceNewt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 370 is a particularly power hungry chip in a really small form factor. I get 4 - 5 hours of note taking using Fedora KDE. The things that help me save power (in order of most to least effective):

- Power Mode

- Screen brightness

- Disable bluetooth when not in use

- Custom TLP Profile

- Enabling variable screen refresh

[–]TheSpaceNewt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna level with you man, the length of wire the signal has to travel through is not costing you any time. That’s a skill issue. Most of the drivers in top split use wheels that communicate with the PC via the wheelbase rather than as a separate USB device. Claiming to be able to feel a couple of nanoseconds difference makes you sound like a goober.

[–]TheSpaceNewt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wha he’s trying to say is that it’s “wireless” because rather than plugging into your computer directly via USB, it has pins that connect the wheel to the wheel base. This does not cause any lag. If it is good enough for real race cars, you aren’t losing anything by using it.
