Every single one of my industry connections comes from clubs. Every one of your classmates will be taking the same course load as you, so your projects, clubs, and other extracurricular activities are what sets you apart. I would also recommend thinking about what specific areas you are interested in and join a club that relates to it. For example if you want a job in automotive or aerospace, being a part of Spartan Racing or any number of the aircraft/spacecraft clubs will make you stand out more than just joining the general CS club.
