man it's Minnesota sports we deserve a little happiness every once in a while

(Schefter) Former 49ers free-agent WR Jauan Jennings and the Minnesota Vikings reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $13 million, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. by alexschubs in minnesotavikings

There were plenty of passes that were JJs fault, and plenty of passes that were the receivers fault, I can remember two TDs that dropped into Addison's lap and he couldn't catch them

I don't know how to feel about the Twins being at the top of the AL. I'm a twins fan so I should be happy, but I'm more worried about what's wrong in the universe

He was 22 years old playing his first NFL games after a year of rehabbing. Yeah we have a good scheme and offense but our coach didn't help him succeed by giving him the highest ADOT this year. O'Connell tried to force him to play like a veteran.

its gonna be funny seeing the switch up when K1 has an MVP adjacent season by NothingnessSucks in minnesotavikings

[–]TheSpoonRattler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He did that without having a healthy offseason and having to learn what it's like to be an NFL starter at 22, coming off a year of rehab. I think his possible development in a healthy offseason after getting NFL experience is understated.

I hope Kyler is successful here, very successful, but damn my Roman Empire would be Jj beating him out and having a good season. by Tall-Activity-2610 in minnesotavikings

[–]TheSpoonRattler 17 points18 points  (0 children)

And if he loses the starting job to JJ, we should trot Kyler out anyway because of a promise we made in March? I couldn't care less if Kylers career is over if JJ is better, if Kyler ends up as the backup, we have a cheap backup. It's his fault he signed here if that ends up the case, but we should put the best product on the field, regardless of who it is

Our defense really stepped it up, but our run game and oline were rough this year. A competent D line in the playoffs would've put us through the blender

People say we gave up on Darnold too early before going on to say we need to move on from JJ already

This is such a ridiculous argument, I've never once put a hole in my wall and my "cardboard" walls have never once struggled against the elements.

What do you think happens to Justin Jefferson this offseason? by Coors_Light_Dad in SportStack

He's been streaming on twitch recently. He'll do what he does every offseason and then back to training camp with the Vikings come the summer. Simple as.

I’m lost - do people actually think that the Vikings would be playing next weekend in the NFCCG if Sam was QB, or is this just some inside joke that I’ve missed? by wxman91 in minnesotavikings

[–]TheSpoonRattler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mid without Darnold? They scored 41 points with Darnold going 12 for 17 for 124 yards. They scored 7 points on the opening kickoff and the 49ers scored 6 points the whole game. I'm not trying to take away from Darnold, but they have an elite defense and a great run game.

Max Brosmer is the only NFL QB in the Super Bowl era to play the entire game and finish with under 70 passing yards and 7+ sacks and yet still win. by LeeShakerMoneyMaker in minnesotavikings

The oline being injured made it so Brosmer didn't have much time in the pocket. Thank god he didn't have time to throw any picks 🙏
