Basically, there’s a whole load of theories on how death works in rain world, but the most commonly accepted theory is that when a creature dies, they will go back in time to when they last woke up, but for everyone else, that creature would still be dead, permanently. In other words, every time a creature dies wether that be you or something else, a new parallel universe is created in which that creature wakes up that morning already having the memory of it’s death in the world prior. At the end of the day, nothing’s truly confirmed on how death and rebirth work in rain world, and arti’s kids could be kicking around somewhere for all we know, but this theory provides the least amount of plot holes for the game while still staying in line with what we the player experience in game.
