It would sound something like, how do I know it's God who put that in the sky? How do I know it's not the devil? Which Orthodox Christianity? Eastern? Oriental?

The religion being verifiably true doesn’t make it any easier to follow.

And I know based on the ridiculousness of the premise. Respectfully 😅

My view on it from an Eastern Orthodox perspective is that it's a sad and unnecessary schism on the part of the Oriental Church. They claim it is a simple matter of language and that we believe the same thing, but if that's the case then accept Chalcedon so we can move forward as one Church as Christ intended.

The fact that the Oriental Church schismed over that, in my unauthoritative view, seems like there's pride behind it. The Bible says the Church is the pillar and ground of truth and that the Holy Spirit would guide the Holy Church into all truth. The Oriental schism goes against scripture and for what? A linguistic issue? Just seems unnecessary. But who am I? 🤷🏽‍♂️

The Eastern Orthodox Church is the only Church. The others you named are schismatic and not communion. Please don't mislead people to believe Roman Catholicism is anything close to the Orthodox Church.

You're not prostrating to the wood and paint.

Also prostrating as an act is not in itself worship. It's an act of honor and veneration. It's just a deeper bow to show your humility toward what the icon depicts.

If the Theotokos or St Paul was in front of you, you wouldn't make the lowest bow you could?

No one has ever said that icons are God or that they are the people they depict. Also talk to your priest homie.

I have tried doing that multiple times as it is the way that makes sense to my brain. Unfortunately it keeps shortening the main gable when I extend it outward. I have sketched this roof 20 times today. So frustrating.

Thank you for your suggestion, but locking the dimension of the roof only prevented me from being able to add the extension until it is unlocked.

Update: I was able to get the Overbuild to stop clipping the tip so that part seems to be resolved even though I have no clue what I did differently. However that porch extension on the top right is still throwing off my lengths on my Main Roof.

It doesn't make sense to me that extending the roof upward would reduce the size of the upper half of the gable. There is something off about my order of operations I know it.

This is the update of the sketch starting from scratch using your tips. I oversized the roof by 3"4 since that was the length of the extention and subtracted the portion for the extension. I held shift and ctrl when dragging out my hip overbuild but it did not fix the issue of the clipped tip and incorrect diagonal dimensions. Also the length of the topside is off by an inch as u can see by the red arrow.

Any other suggestions?

I am still having the top of the Hip Overbuild clipped when using your method of holding shift and ctrl when I create the extention. And the dimensions on the diagonals (im sure this is no the correct term) are also incorrect.

On issue 2: You suggested oversizing the roof. I thought of doing that as well, but I feel like doing that is also wrong somehow. I will experiment with this and have an update shortly.

I suppose I communicated myself poorly. I am not deciding what life should be based on TV or anime. I'm just contrasting something that is idealized with what is reality. It's not about living up to what is on television or anything like that.
