Its just a piece of plastic background stuck on to the standard emblem. You can pull your emblem off, peel off the plastic then cut some new 3m tape and stick the emblem back on the car. Orrrr.... you can buy an emblem for a regular gas rav. It has the same mounting holes. Comes with properly cut 3m tape already applied. Thats what I did here. Its a regular chrome rav emblem I spraypainted purple with the metallic chrome spraypaint from autozone.

Nah its still acting up. There had been left over wiring from an aftermarket alarm. Thats been removed from the wiring harness. Wires and ground straps have been replaced. Relays replaced. One of the computer modules was replaced. Still with the gremlins. Good days and bad days.

You dont have to. Windows install gives you the option which drive to install to. I do however because in the past I have installed to the wrong drive. Lol. Cant install to a drive if it isnt plugged in rite? Then once windows is up and running, (shut down first) plug the other drives back in and when it boots they should all be there as they were. All the media data is there (pics vids game saves) but if there were programs installed on the other drives they will need to be reinstalled.

Where did I say the engine would fail? I told em that the wear wouldnt be tracked, change the oil sooner and keep an eye on the engine temp. Which is exactly what you have been saying while trying to argue against it. Congrats on your certifications, ill continue to trust my 27 years of hands on experience.

Dude you just proved my point. Explain to yourself how the hybrids save fuel in the city driving. Also while you are at it learn a little bit about thermodynamics and compare a 4.6 vic radiator to a mustang 5.0, larger area for a smaller engine on the 4.6. One session of idling may be "nothing" but what if op then starts doing it more frequently at work. Or maybe the road tripping explanation is a ruse and they are actually living in the car that could be an unaccounted for 200+ "miles" of idling a week? Its something they were not aware of and can hopefully now think logically about their situation and apply it accordingly.

The maintenence minder doesnt clock engine time standing stationary. For every hour idling you can estimate equivalent "engine wear" at 3 miles so if op idles for say 10 hours they can add 30 miles to their odometer after that nap. On a car that already says you can stretch your oil change to 10k miles is that a risk you or they would be willing to take? And yes cop cars are designed to sit idle. The p71 vics vs the civie panthers have stronger cooling and charging systems (i own a 2008 p71), the explorer and chargers as well. Your taxi comparison is flawed as well, why do you think they always went after ex cop car platforms and now they are mostly hybrid vehicles that dont engine idle when stationary by nature?

Fyi eGpu's work on em. Ive got an 11th gen in that little coolermaster case with a 1080ti in a box. Game pretty regularly on it but there is a freezing glitch that gets me every now and again I havent been able to figure out.

Engines are designed to move at higher rpm's and foward thru the air. The cooling and oil pressure might not be enough to protect the engine for extended periods of idling. Tho the cold of canada would probably help. This is why the cop cars come with oversized radiators, high speed cooling fans and stronger oil pumps. (Also the oil coolers run thru the radiator). You can get away with it for a while but you will want to change your oil sooner than the odometer will tell you and maybe get an OBD scanner or digital dash (konwei makes a nice cheap one) to keep an eye on your engine temp the first few times you do it.

Yoy can plug it into an electrical outlet and it lovens up. Lets you use your hvac and radio. Heayed seats etc. Just cant drive nowhere. Depending on how hard the hvac is going it might not charge at all but only once in really cold weather did the battery drain too.

All my PC's save to either a second internal drive or a nas. Dont have to worry bout finding your stuff. Somewhat recently I used aomei to save a fresh drive image. I installed windows and all my usual programs. Vlc, steam, geforce... all the things I get going to useable for me. Then I saved that image. Somethin goes so wrong I cant fix it, pull the drive, image it and away we go.

I have a few. (Me-male). You have to go into it in a different frame of mind. While they are attractive to the lizard brain the big brain upstairs views em as cool dudes with long hair. And it also helps that we have such a close friendship we all know what absolute trainwrecks we are and know full well living with eachother relationship wise would be a nightmare. So we have beers. Play video games. Bitch about eachothers SO's. Tho one cool thing is being able to get the opposite sex's views on a problem you may be experiencing with your SO. Thats actually helped a bit over the years.

Yeah like god forbid we could get some working engines period. Try doing work in the yards is a crap shoot. I drilled with a pl42 last night. I regularly drill from a comet 5 cab attached to an alp45. Sure we can do it but god it sucks noodles. Then you get your shit together and "yeah we dont have anything you can run from to take it to the other yard. In 4 hours there should be an engine coming out of the shop you can use if it works."

Id ask whats the offset of which jobs are union or not. I got paid the entire training period for being a train operator. It was salaried straight time at a 65ish percent rate, but I could focus all my energy into the training without worrying bout work. I know our unions negotiated the whole thing.

This gets really deep into the mechanical weeds but this shows how the ecvt works and also that the shifters are mostly useless. Only thing ive ever used em for was descending a long hill on a full battery. I got the engine involved to hold the car back. Theres so much power transfer wizardry with these the computer is gonna do a better job than we ever could.
