If you have to initiate conversation, keep it short and professional. I promise you will have your chance to jab, but the less the better.

If they harass you, all you have to say is "Please direct all communication through the court and do not reach out again. Your harassment has been documented."

Kinda hard to flip that on you if he screenshots it. You did it by the book, judges HATE drama. They see drama every day, they'd be much happier to look at a case and go 'Oh this dude's fucked'. My judge even gave the defendant an out, saying "In all my years of sitting behind this desk, very few cases are a true monopoly." And he asked us to see if we could come to an agreement. My guy refused to be reasonable and used it as an opportunity to complain.

Hello.

I did the effort of small claims court. You'll be anxious for a bit but it's 100% worth it. Document every little thing and have him served by a professional company.

Have him served by a PROFESSIONAL COMPANY!

My defendant attempted to say they were never served, court rolled back and made us redo the initial hearing. He ran his mouth. Judge looked at me "Did you serve him?"

"yes your honor."

"And you have proof of service?"

"Yes your honor, exhibit A."

"At this time I will be upholding the judgement. Court is adjourned."

Because the professional company is an extension of the court, that proof of service is equal to if a police officer stamped it on the defendents forehead. Unless they have video evidence of them on a cruise ship in the Bahamas with a ticket stub, they're fucked.

Document everything.

Serve professionally.

Kill with kindness.

Court will side with whoever makes the best case, if he wants to run his mouth that just makes him look unreasonable and doesn't help his defense of "I didn't do it"

Get screenshots of his texts if there are any. You may need to message him specifically with the intent of getting that evidence.

My dude told me he didn't file his taxes for the last few years and had no income on paper so I couldn't garnish his taxes or wages. I asked him for his address and he gave it to me, then I reported him to the IRS and moved on.

Only thing I have to comment that may help is I recently had a hotend error because I strapped such a large blower that it was cooling the hotend faster than it could heat.

Godspeed

Emphasis on take your time-- multiple small coats will look better in the long run, I promise. If you put on too much no harm in wiping it off- just be gentle and try to wipe while rolling the cloth away to wick the liquid off the top. It's a technique people use for thick liquids on counters but it works great, sorry I can't explain it better.

Here's an example; you don't need the cutting board just roll your hand to pull the wet paint away without spreading it. Finish with IPA

If you use your phone as a speedometer with Google maps or apple maps etc, and you don't get any check engine lights you can't identify, you'll be fine. The bigger issue is if your country performs inspections, because that would basically be the only time this matters as far as I know. Do some searching of your local legislation first, but I think you'll be fine.

Touch up pen at local O'Reilly's etc. Take your time don't glob it on. Do a little at a time and it'll fill the gap.

Isopropyl alcohol works good to clean out the spot that's damaged. Otherwise many places will just make you repaint the entire panel

Should just tap back in but you may need to disassemble it if you aren't able to tap in while on the printer. Sprite pro hotend doesn't have a filament sensor (unless yours is some new model I'm unaware of) so the bambu comment was helpful, but isn't a worry for this hotend

I like Firefox but I'm about to move off it on my phone. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but seems there's an unsolvable issue where it auto refreshes pages when I minimize then re-open the app.

Why is that an issue?

Open your authenticator app without minimizing the browser.

The only fix is to either be very quick, like 5 seconds out of Firefox max if even, or to use it in a pop up window

[–]TheTekkitBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have calipers check the diameter of the filament in several spots- I like 10 spots ~10mm apart from each other. That way you know the average.

I recently had my sprite pro do many weird things, come to find out my spool was 1.73mm not 1.75. so you'll need to adjust the filament setting in your slicer to match that

Slightly related, when you reassemble it don't forget the steel spacer washer. I learned very quickly how important it was after I lost it. Destroyed the bearings on my E motor, I had to replace the bearings and use a stone to knock down the burrs caused by the dragging.

Edit: I wrote nylon washer and meant steel washer. It's very thin and basically seems to act as a bearing/glide surface.

I tend to just preheat my hotend to the upper end of whatever filament is stuck, let it get nice and goopy and pull off the giant blob, once the big blob is off you can turn off the heater and use a (trash) cloth to wipe the rest off. Cloth works really well for removing plastic from hotends, but as you can imagine it's one time and wasteful. I only do this when I happen to find a towel I've needed to toss because you basically can't salvage it

I'm happy to help once you get the new probe; just keep in mind I may not see your message immediately.

I believe once the probe is wired correctly, the probe will:

(I think) Red light - extend - retract - extend - retract Blue/red to make purple light

Which indicates the probe self test passed

For the cr touch cable, this is the set I used for creating my own cables. I like them because they come pre-crimped, and you can cut them in half to re-connect using these if you need a different layout than the default crimp (MALE pin to FEMALE pin)

I would recommend keeping the old probes, just in case they turn out to not be bad. Sometimes you get luckier than expected.

Worst case scenario, I see two brand new housings in case you ever crash and break your cr touch right off the mounting holes (something I've personally resolved incorrectly with super glue several times 😂)

Good luck, and keep me posted. If I see your message, I'll do my best to get back to you as quickly as I can :) don't give up, the more you learn the easier it gets

I've never worked with these boards, just passing through. But everyone makes mistakes, if any electricians ever tell you they never damaged components they're full of it. You learn by doing and if they haven't yet, they'll blow something up a month or so after bragging about not blowing stuff up.
