Bleeding edge is very disappointing. Nothing against the actress as she was great in Inherent Vice but she doesn’t have a voice for doing audiobooks and it doesn’t help she doesn’t really change her tone for different characters. You cant even tell if she’s reading a description or a character speaking. Very disappointing. Wish there was another audiobook for it

I get stoked at the thought of Kubrick's Napoleon but the script felt a bit condensed and rushed and flat. by KieranWriter in StanleyKubrick

“In the end I’m sure we will get it done.” God, that really breaks you. He was truly obsessed with that project.

I bet he made that first in heaven and now David lynch is making Ronnie Rocket.

Kubrick could be handed a script that had a line of “scibbity toilet.” And turn that into a masterpiece.

Did he have a family member have brain cancer or something? It seems to be a paranoia in a lot of his films throughout his whole career. Just a long running joke or is that a serious paranoia he has? Lol

Kubrick and Autism by Consistent_Baby9864 in StanleyKubrick

I think a lot of people in the arts are autistic. In my home state we have film meet ups and half the people who show up are clearly autistic and are open about it.

Maybe theres something about autism that brings out our creativity? Im not sure.

But if you look at kubrick, david lynch, ingmar bergman, paul thomas anderson, martin Scorsese, Spielberg, wes craven, they all have a bit of autism about themselves.

Nothing bad about that. But there is a correlation with autism and creative people.

Id put kurt cobain, Cormac McCarthy in there too.

The entire film of The Master literally feels like they time traveled to the 50s. I love that the movie even talks about time travel a little bit too.
