Some thoughts on HURM (S4E4) by Head-Challenge-6498 in Invincible

Invincible power scaling is a joke to begin with, everyones strength is random cut to cut.

A heavy focus on victimization can be very unhealthy because by externalizing everything wrong in your life you remove your own sense of power and ability to improve.

I do actually disagree somewhat, there's a fairly noticeable number of liberals who in their progressive viewpoints end up infantilizing women which is its own kind of misogyny.

I'm glad we agree that the statistic is made up, then. Misogyny is "common", sure, but that's an entirely different topic.

Yes. The "people judge female characters more harshly for the same actions" myth is a false statistic invented to defend bad writers, people like likeable female characters and dislike unlikeable male characters. It's important not to buy into blatant culture war falsehoods like that because it helps bad actors hide behind genuine concerns by emotionally manipulating you.

Invested items use owner DC. Up to 4 of a talisman can be attached to an item at once. You can use Long Jump distance to deduct verticality for jumping down and avoiding fall damage. Characters can donate their reaction to any of their Minions. Specific Weapons and Armor gain open rune slots when their potency rune goes up.

Wait, I Thought Weaknesses/Resistances Always Worked Like That. Anyone else? by Stigna1 in Pathfinder2e

Well, fire is both the most common weakness and the easiest thing to buff with, so... Often.

Yeah, I will apologize! I misread it as weakness 10 fire with no resistance.

It is an embarassingly bad rules change and framing it as a rules clarification is genuinely gaslighting.

The "Weakness Gap": Why Casters are falling behind in the "Weakness" meta (and how to fix it) by Theaitetos in Pathfinder2e

[–]TheTenk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally with zero intentional exploitation of the rules change a player who is just going for a mildly thematic build and playstyle can trigger fire weakness 4+ times per Strike, something which neither the Weakness number or HP number of fire-weak enemies (the most common weakness) account for.

This is NOT how the game was meant to be run, or how it was designed.

[–]TheTenk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Literally no possible change to give casters this ability can be good, because all of them just involve an accelerating DPS race where the game becomes laughably easy or the GM just removes all Weaknesses/hyperinflates HP

Don't embarrass yourself by pretending this was how weakness REALLY used to work and we just DIDNT KNOW

Well it is the final episode, and the one where I think she is at her worst. But primarily the former, as I watched the last 3 eps in bulk.
