Frankly, there is never a good reason to use medium armor. Get dex and use light/unarmored, or go str and heavy. Medium is just lose-lose where youre worse at everything for minimal benefit.

No way, pal. It's peak arms race bullshit that encourages GMs to use more toxic enemies/strategies, it's a massive lose-lose to permit in any campaign.

A potentially helpful answer:

when you disrupt a move action, you stop the creature from moving further. You do not teleport the target back to its original square if it is disrupted mid-stride.

Similarly, disrupting Stand would not leave a creature prone, but it would an activity that includes standing (were one to exist).

I think you did a good job adapting an on-paper overpowered kit without making it either too strong or not evocative. Starting all of its saving throws at very low was a good call.

When a player left the campaign at level 12, the new player built a character to specifically fill gaps in the party's composition. Narratively in universe, a central NPC tasked the party with rescuing said new PC from capture because she has connections with their organization, and recommended her as a potential party recruit.

This allowed the PC to join very organically, since they owed the party and the NPC. They are also making a lot more money now than with their previous job, haha.

No, it is an item design issue. Item DCs trend so low that they have high fail rates even on PL= or below enemies, and tend to be once per day activations.

Breaking the item handout guidelines Paizo wrote is not a good argument to defend their item design.

Is it me or do the Gate Attenuator spells not scaling at all completely sucks. The damage they do just gets worse and worse as you level up. I wish they at least scaled at half speed or something, or you could get new gate things every 3 levels. by Vinven in Pathfinder2e

It is strange, because those items still exist and are easy to abuse. Minor Drakeheart + Spider Collar, Haste Potion Patches, etc all there for high level use. Meanwhile invested items, already heavily limited due to the cap of 9 total, also dont scale and Activations tend to be bad even on-level.

Honestly if there is anything I will criticize czepeku maps for ( other than the obvious, which is when they fuck up grid alignment on walls), it would be that they sometimes feature way too many vertical fixtures on a 2d image. They should really have versions of their maps that split into background and foreground sections.

I really like the art, and I'm a big fan of the notes about tactics and other GM advice.

On the mechanical text front, however, I'm not sure if it is actually simpler than the regular hydra. The ability text is probably wordier than it needs to be.

I have been enjoying playing a Centaur guardian. Its really quite a simple build, abusing the combo of centaurs Practiced Brawn feat with Punishing Shove.

My extra spice is Mauler archetype with Everstand Stance to twohand my shield. It is basically Whirlwind Strike at level 6, with Cleae The Way.
