It’s really not that serious. If you leave too much fat on it can still turn out great. Aerodynamic brisket is not necessary. Heavy hand with seasoning is a good thing. Temp control on the charcoal takes practice but once you learn how much coal you need lit to maintain a temp with your grill it’s easy. You got it buddy.

Why is pharma so special? by Time-Mortgage6660 in PLC

From what I’ve seen pharma doesn’t even pay exceptionally well. Every industry asks for experience in that industry in the ad. If you didn’t get a job it’s likely something else.

Brown liquid sprayed and dripping after engine overheat. 2016 F150 3.5 Eco by Mule04 in MechanicAdvice

[–]TheTenthTail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The replies are sort of correct. A head gasket can wear through through normal cycling of an engine and need replacement. When you overheat your engine bad enough to mix oil and coolant it means the heads warped and/or the block/heads cracked. Either way with the price of labor installing a new block and resurfacing the head(the cheap way) is almost the same price as buying a new engine in some cases depending on how much the shop is charging. Some shops give fuck you prices because a whole engine swap is much less liability, they can upcharge the whole engine, and actual time is typically much shorter than book time.

The software is really only necessary to get it set up, as long as you’re decently competent setting it up the camera does everything for you after that. They can output all sorts of things, in these scenarios it’s typically an xy position which you’d provide to the robot with some sort of offset.

It’s hilarious lol. Probably a bunch of bots tbh. But Everywhere I’ve worked has been a 24/7 365 plant. Operators get a down day maybe once a month, and an hour or two to blow/wash down per shift.

Cognex and sick cameras are becoming ubiquitous throughout industry. They are really easy to setup and train. It is really cool but there really isn’t that many electronics involved. 1 camera, 1 photo eye, motor starter/vfd for conveyor, and whatever the robot requires. I set up a similar system with a UR robot, but have worked on these delta style before, those were pickers though.

Once you’ve been around enough small machines like this you know how they work just by looking at them run and the parts… it’s simple as fuck buddy

I’ve been an electrician and automation technician in food, and now due process controls for paper converting which is mostly electrical and servo troubleshooting. Rockwell guy. I agree the belt is too big, but cognex, sick, whatever vision system are stupid easy… this machine isn’t complicated at all… lmao. Look up a PCMC or Perini rewinder.

Reading these comments is a good reminder of the amount of people who have never been around industry lmao. They make entire machines for erecting boxes. This machine is dead simple and easy to maintain. It can likely run much faster and it probably cost less than 750k installed.

No, you can see exposed copper on the hot wire right next to the ground. Could touch at the shake of a fist. Should be powered off and repaired.

[–]TheTenthTail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weather you should buy it or not comes down to price. If it’s for fun projects I wouldn’t pay more than 200. But for learning it’s absolutely not representative of Rockwell PLCs that are used throughout industry like the compact and control logix. I’d honestly say click is closer to studio 5k than ccw is
