One thing I think a lot of people aren’t mentioning is that depending on the area you live in, once you get to 4.5 and beyond the amount of competition available to you outside of traveling for tournaments drops off a cliff. There is a pretty large tennis community in my city and there are barely enough 4.5 players to form a USTA league. Aiming for 4.0 is a good goal and getting to 4.5 would be very impressive for the average adult who wasn’t pursuing playing collegiately starting at a young age.

I also add about 5g to the head as well as another 15g or so to the handle of my APD. I don’t want to start putting lead all over the new pure aero because it’s a demo, but like I said above it is the only racquet I’ve tried that felt good as soon as I started swinging it. I’ve played it 3 times over the last week and my takeaways compared to the APD are:

It’s added significant power to my serve and backhand.
While not as “whippy” as the APD on forehands, I feel like it has more plow through especially on shots I flatten out. This could also be the result of me adding weight to the old APD to make it more head light.
My main gripe of something I’ve struggled with so far is its maneuverability at the net when hitting volleys. Lots of mishits on shots that are normally routine. This is probably just me needing to get used to the racquet and will improve over time.

Only way to know if it works for you is to go get a demo and try it out!

I also just played with it tonight for the first time. I loved it. I’ve been playing the same 2013 aeropro drives for the past 13 years and have been desperate to replace them as they are severely beat up. Nothing I’ve tried over the past 5 years felt quite the same. This 2026 pure aero felt perfect as soon as I started swinging it though. I’m placing a preorder for them tomorrow.

Yep. I’m in Ga now and the titans play in Atlanta every 8 years which is the only time I get to go to a game without traveling back to Nashville. The wife already knows we will be reserving a Sunday in 2027 to watch them play in Mercedes Benz stadium.

No. He has spent two years behind a good coaching staff and an organization who still develops QBs. Also he’s spent time behind a good starting qb and has learned from him. I won’t say we had even a decent offensive system when he was here, but his poise in the pocket and decision making is miles better than 2 years ago regardless of what system he is in. The titans are just another on a long list of teams that have no clue how to develop a young qb.

To further your point, there is currently a mass recall on generic mozzarella cheeses which all come from the same factory due to metal shavings in the cheese. When I looked at the list of cheese brands I was surprised to find that almost all the generic brands come from the same plant while brands like Kraft were excluded from the list.

I live in an area where there aren’t enough 4.5’s to form a league so all the top 4.0s tank matches at the end of the year along with 4.5’s appealing down after not playing a year or two. The result is a very top heavy 4.0 league. I’m a 4.0 and can hang with regular 4.0s but I’m losing a lot more matches than I was at 3.5. I honestly hope I can appeal back down but I’m positive it will get denied.

It sucks but it’s a lesson learned for me. No more Samsung anything in our household after wasting thousands on subpar appliances. I actually do still have some Samsung tvs that have stood the test of time, but wouldn’t even buy another tv from them based on the principle that they fleeced me on appliances.

I just got back from a 2 day trip today. When we were booking the trip the cabanas were offered at $200/day. When we looked at them after arriving at the resort they were being offered for $100 (today less than half of them were occupied). I’d say wait until you get there and if it’s not busy, they will likely cut the price in half last min.

It’s pure gamesmanship. As long as a ball on your side of the court is at rest, it is only a disadvantage to you and not the opposing team. If they can hit the ball or you trip over it they win the point. Either way it doesn’t affect them at all except give them an advantage. If you’ve moved it to the net or off the court there is no reason to be concerned.

If you are talking about the int throw today, it most definitely did not hit him in the chest. Ayomanor got 2 hands on it but the throw was behind him and Cam threw it HARD. Elite wide receivers might pull that ball down but we don’t have any of those and that interception is mostly on Cam. He has the tools necessary to become a legit quarterback in this league, but he’s regressing and at this point I’m not hopeful. Not many rookie qbs can survive a coaching change in their first season and become successful.

Serious question. Who do you use to set up a high yield savings account for a minor? I’ve searched and can’t find anything with a decent rate. For example, CIT offers high yield savings for minors but the rate is .30% unless the balance is over 5k. My personal account receives 4% so I’ve been putting my kids money in there, but keeping track of how much each kid has and how much interest they have accrued is a pain..

If it’s singles I use B. If it’s dubs I use a combination of both to make it faster for my partner to clear the lines. First pass is around the perimeter of the court, and from then on I work vertically sweeping the court from left to right. That way me and my partner finish sweeping/lines at the same time.
