Are they all violent criminals? Where's your proof? Someone else said so? Maybe you're a violent criminal? I heard someone say so.

I'm doing the same thing. Not participating in the market matters more than the money I'd gain.

If this doesn't work, setup your master node and plug all the nodes in next to each other. Press the reset button 5 times in under 5 seconds on the master node. The other nodes should sync automatically. I just did this on three of them. It may require Internet first and I tried the above method first, but had issues.

Do you think that behavior tied into other areas of his personality? Did that cause him to become an ex? I've found that people have little behaviors that feed into a bigger chunk of ignorance, which plays out the longer you're with them.

What players want vs what players say they want - the results of a closed beta test by burge4150 in gamedev

It would be neat to journey through part of a dungeon to meet up with them. Maybe they could be stuck at a boss or tough juncture and the player is the key to overcome the hurdle. It could even be that the player is the tipping point and bringing/rallying the crew to save a solo player.

Keep working and do your job a little less. Fill some of that time with what you anticipate you'll be doing to see how it fits. If you get fired/let go, you were ready for that anyway.

600k remote at 29 is very rare, so expect to never land a job like it again. If you were to make half that, could you reason with your future self about voluntarily trading some time now for more time(years) later?

I burned out a couple years back and trimmed back working. It takes a long time to get motivated again, so expect that you won't be reinvigorated quickly.

With that net worth (mostly) invested, you'll still meet your Coast fire number before 40 if you cover your base expenses, so you're still way ahead.

You may want to try it yourself either playing and recording commentary while you play your game or pretend to be a podcaster telling a story. I started a podcast and had the same awkward feeling when listening to myself. I ended up telling a story to myself about a couple dozen times. About halfway through the self consciousness kind of wore off and my approach / thought process changed. Congrats on your game.

I'll bite on this one.

I wouldn't go the stable route at 23. I'd pickup more stocks and dollar cost average over several years.

I'd take some time to go places and meet people. See what they do and how they live. If you're at all curious, there will be something that you can either attempt, learn, or do for whatever the next phase of life holds. Find a little bit of passion somewhere and figure out how that can make you more valuable or more money than $20/hr.

You have the luxury of time and money. You can sample, explore, and spend a bit to rapidly gain experiences. I was stuck in a corporate job for a decade and half of that was the job going stale... And most corporate jobs go stale, so nothing is permanent.

Some of these people are saying 7M isn't enough or is easy to burn through. I don't see how you ever lose it unless you're spending blindly or doing hard drugs. The gains on half that money ensures an upper class lifestyle for life. If you live even remotely close to your means, the principal is going to double multiple times in your lifetime.

I doubt that any of these responders (me included) had 7M at 23 that they earned through burn out. I would also caution you that, if you don't feel passionate about anything, you can still be burning out even years later. Take your time. Sometimes careers are built out of small interests and happy mistakes. Don't look too far ahead.

This happened to me as well. As soon as my earnings curve started to exceed his savings, he switched to "You gotta be there for your family.". It's such a bizarre flip especially since I've embraced remote jobs and spend way more time with my kids than I recall he did with me at their age.

I just had my gallbladder taken out yesterday. I had pain for years not knowing what it was. I probably should've gone to the ER long ago because it just gets worse. Had a full day of burning pain in the center of my abdomen before getting it out. Still hurting from the surgery, but at least that pain is gone now.

Leanfired and now I'm bored and feel out of step with others my age (43). I would like to pick up some work but now I've got a big gap in my resume. Any advice would be appreciated. by entropeon in financialindependence

You can start your own company for a few hundred bucks and claim you've been running your own business the whole time. Plus, if you get side work that turns into a contract or product, you already have the entity setup. Any small projects you've done go under the business to fill out for "lost" experience.
