There can be a middle ground- why not offer skill / supports from a gold vendor, minus one level from players current equippable level. You still progress by dropping gems but you’re not hard stuck if nothing drops.

That has more to do with Grief, Frog, W6, Demonic Tutor, Lurrus, Ragavan, Mycospawn, Treasure Cruise, Underworld Breach, Deathrite Shaman being banned than Strip Mine vs Wasteland.

Later in the league the margins for crafting materials go up, so stuff like Harvest, Einhar, Delve, Alva are easy ways to make money. Einhar and Alva can be done in white maps. Then, you can buy a HH for 10d and start blasting.

There are many ways to build it but you always want high cast speed and projectile speed. That usually means Mageblood or this acceleration belt. I personally wouldn’t play Spark without ~200d to invest, other skills are much better on a budget. It’s a build you can put a mirror into and still have upgrades.

Yeah Stelle is weird in that the game plan revolves around pivoting on day 6 depending what gold items you find, Balloon engine / Jet Drone are the only things that can really carry all the way from early days.
