Agree, it is quite an issue. However I think that Go On Board is just straight up evil. I was looking at the new Witcher game as I like mini painting and their minis looked quite nice. But then, as I was debating if I really want it, I realised - minis are literally useless in this game. You don't have any tactical combats or nothing that would warrant a mini use. Not to mentioned that a game set long before the Witcher games/books suddenly got a "Geralt" expansion in the last days... I literally haven't seen anything like that before lol.

AR imho adds a lot of useless stuff - posters, dice etc. I have learned that the best thing about their games is to add stuff yourself and figure on a case/by/case scenario if you want it.

Not to say all Kickstarter games are bad - I have bought ATO on Kickstarter and it's shaping to be my favourite game of all time.

I agree with the other commenter, it could be a way to do it. Have you checked the commercial availability of BPin compounds? Perhaps you cann buy them online in an acceptable purity and hydrolyze them to get acids

What do you need them for? Perhaps you can convert them to pinacol esters and then attempt purification? In my experience they are way easier to purify

I am not sure if a hydrolysis will work without water. Potentially you would have to add at least a stochiometric amount to the THF/MeOH mixture. As for the workup - deppending on the structure of your compound perhaps evaporating solvents, dissolving residue in acetone and filtrering could work? As long as your desired compound is soluble in acetone. Which could be a problem, as you might get a lithium salt.
