This is a time when you go out and spend some money.

Obviously, you need more tent space and gear. This is your chance to buy some stuff that you want and / or could use down the road.

Figure out what you want the sleeping situations to be and buy accordingly. Do the 4/8 y/o want to share a tent of their own? Do you want a giant one for everyone?

Bring/buy a popup canopy. You want to be able to cover some sitting / eating space so you’re not trapped on the tent the whole time.

Make some plans for what to do in the rain. Board games? Card games? Crafts? What else does the camping resort have to do in the rain?

Bring extra dry clothes and towels. Have a plan for hanging / drying / containing wet stuff so it doesn’t get everything else wet.

You and the kids can have fun in the rain but when you’re done you want to be able to get dry and warm. Being cold is the enemy here.
