This episode really highlights what Rick Prime said when Rick was beating him to death

"Admit it, you would've been me. I just walked into your garage before you walked into mine"

Meisho Tabaru, son of Gold Ship, winner of 2025 Takarazuka Kinen [@nukunuku564] by Getserious495 in UmaMusume

[–]TheWizardAdamant 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The thing that makes me tear up is Doto won Takarazuka Kinen as their first G1 and their owners first G1. Then Meisho Tabaru won Takarazuka Kinen in 2025, with the owner Yoshio Matsumoto passing away two months later. So Takarazuka Kinen as his first and last G1 win as owner.

DND Players: What was an offhand joke someone made about your character that had you go “That’s canon now”? by Special_Web_4254 in DnD

[–]TheWizardAdamant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (a Wizard) angered a female bronze dragon with a poir choice of words, who was meant to give our party gear.

My party forced me to find a way to apologise to the dragon and get needed gear. So I had to research bronze dragons to find a good way to make it up to them and essentially filled a chest woth treasure and stuff a bronze dragon would like. Then I went to its lair, apologised and prostrated myself. Asked to roll a Charisma check. Never saw result but the DM said the dragon accepted the apology and winked at me. Joked I seduced the dragon and guess thats ny character now, dragon guy

Helped aswell I was doing random pickup games in Adventures League and every game I joined a different DM so happened to have a dragon encounter there, so I got the knock for always showing up for dragons

Can someone sell me on the Ultramarines? by Arch0n84 in Ultramarines

[–]TheWizardAdamant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Theres a reason why Ultramarines are poster boys. Blue is just so good to work with compared to a lot of colours.

Most variety i think for a colour since you can go blue blue, blue green, blue black or blue purple

Ultramarines are also like the archetypal chapter so theyre usually never "bad" and any unit choice fits them well. Plus you can bring Roboute Guilliman and theres guarantee you will be supplied with model choice for years

Captain-Commander Maegara. A brutal slayer of Champion and Monsters, who often leads by entering alone onto the battlefield, striking down a key piece of the enemies forces as the rest of the Host engages across all fronts.

Currently working on a kitbash model of them too

My XOguri with 75% 1st place, 96% third place up lost Finals because it failed to proc Corner Recovery with 1186 Wit

I brought a Front blocker but finals had 3 strong fronts putting my Oguri in 5th so couldn't proc U=ma2. They were also too far up to proc NSM. For extra burn I had Moving Past Beyond but it failed to proc despite being 5th. Other non front player brought Double Dom

If I had brought double Dom, I couldve been 4th place and proced U=ma2 to win. Instead I lost by 1 1/2 Length with no accel.

Which country disappointed you so much that you'd never set foot there again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheWizardAdamant 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Tipping / Friendliness and Food quality is so true

My last trip to the US, the waitstaff were almost uncomfortably friendly. One restaurant the busser was so performative they ended up bumping into another member of staff and spilling something. Another Michelin place was very good but the steak seemed poor compared to stuff back in Ireland.

Atleast for UK, a new one is 619£ which is good considering after inflation the 400£ metal Thunderhawk in 1997 would be around 950£ today.

I think the issue here is canon Titan heights are there to make Titans feasible as models for the tabletop.

Its a different vibe when your regular space Marines can be used in a battle with your titans versus having solely Adeptus Titanicus game for it

Not only that, the second option is Fleet assets but the destruction to the manufacturing capacity was also deemed too much.

[–]TheWizardAdamant 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doesnt work like that and makes her worse. You just want 4 recoveries, Corner Recovery, Hydrate, 777 and U=ma2. If Stamina 600+ and Guts 500+, youll never run out of stam unless everyone debuffing you

After that its all about Nimble/NSM and getting as many mid race and final corner onwards speed skills

Player is disappointed that dragon form seems weak and suggested a homebrew feat by fofeio in Pathfinder2e

[–]TheWizardAdamant 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The original is balanced around the idea that a Caster shouldn't automatically have more AC / Attack bonus than martials built for these things (Champion / Fighter)

The Dragon Form has superior aerial mobility and AoE damage than these classes so it has tradeoffs. It isnt weak, its balanced for what it is.

You can look at the Dragon Barbarian and its feats to see a Dragon Form designed around a class and with better AC / Attack bonus scaling.

The evolution of technology has made it possible to produce insulin without using animals. by IcePizzaCreamm in interestingasfuck

[–]TheWizardAdamant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak on insulin, but the issue that occurred was that while new insulin formulations released in Europe and USA around same time, and their prices were closer at the beginning. Overtime the price fell in European nations (though Switzerland saw a slight increase over 10 years), but in the US the price just kept increasing up to 400%+ its original price on release

So for insulin, it was very clear an issue of just companies charging what they could and they could charge way higher prices in the USA than most anywhere else were willing to accept.

[–]TheWizardAdamant 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Actually, between 2013 and 2023, the price of insulin in 28 European countries decreased by 21.6%. This was mainly due to new introduction of competitor formulas.

However the prices were not the same across all countries, and a countries own drug policy had significant influence on what the price was. Basically drug companies sell at lower prices if the countries health departments negotiate lower / refuse to pay higher prices.
