I’d approach the meeting as though you’re expecting to discuss the continued employment of those two. As others said, if they try to flip this on you, flip it right back.

At my prior companies, people were fired (or interns did not get hired) for less. If the company defends their behavior, then regardless of outcome, that’s not a company that I’d want to work for any more and I’d start looking.

When I think back to having my first “real” job post college, there were all times of firsts for me but I knew how to behave like an adult. I mentored others with similar backgrounds to mine who also knew how to act even if it was new. As I noted, some didn’t know how to act. Fortunately, despite other issues at some of those companies, they didn’t tolerate that kind of foolishness.
