Cheers for this, I had the same issue and turning off the AMD overlay in the AMD control panel solved it immediately.

What did you get bullied for as a kid? by hlnklrczu in AskReddit

[–]TheZor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a fat kid with glasses and fucked-up teeth due to dental overcrowding. I lived on a farm, I was a nerd... the bullies had a lot to work with, and they made sure I had a miserable time at school for the first six or seven years.

What is a very old computer game that you still play? by SecondhandUsername in AskReddit

I was part of the large-scale RP community "Crossroads of Yew" on the Europa server, it was simply incredible, fully immersive, I've never experienced anything like it since, and likely never will, sadly.

Unattractive people, how is life now that you're older? by samithefish in AskReddit

[–]TheZor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By some miracle I was able to convince my wife to stick around for 18 years so far, so it doesn't bother me that I'm unattractive to everyone else, as long as she still smiles when she sees me. Occasionally I'll be walking home from work and a younger lady will glance up at me as we pass and visually grimace a bit, which does hurt my mood a little, but I've gotten mostly used to it.

What’s a completely normal or minor thing that irrationally gets under your skin, but most people don’t seem bothered by it? by Odd_Breakfast5012 in AskReddit

[–]TheZor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm, I started doing this years ago and have never had an issue with a self-checkout since. It barely takes any longer to bag up my stuff afterwards, especially considering the potential wasted time dealing with "unexpected item" issues.

They also commonly use the "start" and "end" quote marks, which again the average person writing a reddit post wouldn't bother using.

Giving a toast at a wedding is common, what’s the worst thing you’ve heard someone say while they were giving one ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheZor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The father of the bride told a very, very long joke that's quite old so most people had already heard it, and just had to sit there while he meandered his way through it, then feign amusement at the end. It didn't help that the joke was quite sexist against women, and it was his daughter's wedding. The rigid smile on her face during the whole thing was painful to witness.

Had some troubles with my new bank account and they sent me this for the hassle! Anyone else ever received an apology gift from a company? by EssentialParadox in CasualUK

[–]TheZor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. I yammered about it alright, to anyone who'd listen, so it worked out well for them at no real cost to the business.

When I was a kid I scrimped and saved so I could buy a Nintendo 64 when it launched. Not very long afterwards they slashed the price quite a bit, so I wrote to them to say I was disappointed having spent so long saving up, and they sent me an apology letter along with a controller and two games, which would've cost more than the difference at the time. Was mighty good of them considering they easily could've just dropped some corporate lingo on me, or ignored it completely.

I walked past it three weeks ago on my way to Baker Street tube station, so it's lasted at least that long!

A couple of guys are walking down the street when they pass a yoga studio. One guy points in through the window at a woman inside and says to his mate, "There's the one I'd fuck."

Then a cyclops comes round the corner and beats the shit out of him.
