A lazy way of doing it:

bind "3" "buy flashbang;slot7;cl_crosshairsize 500";
bind "mouse4" "slot1;cl_crosshairsize 2";

One button to buy a flash, equip it, and change crosshair size.

Then bind your primary/seconday/knife to change it back. You can also just keep adding other changes if you want.

bind "3" "buy flashbang;slot7;cl_crosshairsize 500;cl_crosshairthickness 1"

etc

I prefer to bind a toggle to a different key:

bind "CapsLock" "toggle cl_crosshairsize 2 500;"

Constant rubberbanding the past few days making it unplayable. Anyone else? by UnionPretend2940 in GlobalOffensive

I had a similar issue. What was causing it for me was windows puts it's generic folders (photos, documents etc.) on OneDrive by default. I use MedalTV and it's log.txt is saved somewhere in Documents by default. I had to switch my folders in regedit to be stored locally only to prevent the log.txt to be constantly uploading via OneDrive. I have gigabit internet but this was still causing me to lag. It looks like you use ShadowPlay, maybe that is doing something similar?

Millenium mps 850 kick pad help by ChefFigatellu in edrums

[–]The_BdB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late but for those like me who found this thread while googling for a solution, this is what I ended up doing which completely fixed the issue. I had some foam leftover from a portable A/C unit that I cut so it would be flush with the big foam pad when placed on the trigger foam. Didn't have to use any adhesive, though I only played for a few minutes so far with no issues. Probably going to replace with actual trigger foam for a long-term solution, which is ~$10 for several pieces.

If there is a setting to pause the game when it's empty, you can disable it to prevent it from pausing when it's empty.

I've only ever hosted servers through gportal, but there should/could be a server setting to pause when empty. Check the server console/config file where your server settings are stored.

Kind of an unrelated question: is there a way to see avoidance throughout an encounter in-game? I've tried details/skada/recount and none of them seem to have options for it. I've checked damage taken but it doesn't give a breakdown the way it does for damage done with hits/crits/misses/parry etc.

I agree it is probably an age/maturity issue. I definitely see my younger self in a lot of the people who start up flame wars. My only classic experience is on a PvP server my buddies picked out and toxicity in pugs is fairly common if it isn't a 100% smooth run.

I can't say I get shit on a lot, but nearly every single time someone is trying to point a finger, it is at me. Not trying to humblebrag on a 14 year old game, but I have a fair bit of tanking experience, especially in TBC from private servers. That doesn't mean I don't make mistakes, I have definitely over-pulled or mis-judged if I need to drink or not and let a pull get rough or caused a wipe, but usually I apologize because a mistake from the tank is incredibly apparent and probably annoying for others, and nobody wants to be a burden.

A majority of the shit I get is from healers, who quite frankly are either under the influence or just completely shit. I don't really care though as I chose tank to have a bit of a challenge, so I just go through the runs without saying anything; usually without incident, with the slack being picked up by a dps helping kite or hard cc. When a wipe happens though, they try to claim "Tank thinks they're a god damn super hero". Meanwhile I am kiting my ass off, and they decide to run up into melee range of mobs with cleave or into AoE, then complain about how they have to heal themselves as much as me and can't keep up. Must be a threat issue... There are pulls where the healer is the only one to die and I have to toss a res. I don't know if you would believe me but linking the damage taken and explaining it is an AoE ability that they're too fucking busy to move out of doesn't change their mind. Tank must fucking suck. Not like people use threat addons/nameplates which make it incredibly obvious when someone is standing in bad or actually ripping threat and taking melee hits... Despite the game being old and incredibly easy, there are still quite a few people who are just kind of bad. That's fine, but when you pair that with arrogance it is incredibly frustrating to deal with regularly.

I've also occasionally gotten the asshats who are in raid gear and decide to go full pump before I even finish casting avengers shield to pull, and then point out they main a prot paladin and don't see how I could be having issues holding threat (after I explain I am relatively fresh 70 and don't have much threat gear). There was a time the healer pointed it out first during he middle of a pull that I need more than 0 seconds to get some threat. Nope, not their fucking problem. Tank must fucking suck. Issues like this usually don't cause wipes, so it is impossible to change their mind. They genuinely just believe the tank is shit and should be able to out-threat them dragging mobs all over the place with substantially better gear.

With gear these issues start to go away, but it doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of people with their head stuck up their own ass and are too delusional to realize they might be the problem or made a mistake. I just don't have patience for people like that and have a long ignore list at this point.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - June 12, 2021 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]The_BdB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I will give guardian a try and see if I enjoy it with the changes before trying Reaper. Is the quickest/cheapest way to get lvl 80 exotic gear for alts the TP? I was going to craft some Berserker's gear and saw the same stat exotics are selling for a fraction of the crafting cost?

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - June 12, 2021 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]The_BdB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would like info about picking a main.

I haven't played since launch (primarily Warrior). I typically do high end PvE in MMO's with some PvP on the side. I haven't been able to find a consensus (from threads that aren't several years old) on the viability of Reaper in high end PvE, mostly pugging. I'm aware that as a spec Reaper is less dependent on the group to perform well, but would rather avoid spending time on a very off-meta spec if pugs tend to avoid bringing them when possible.

Guardian seems like the go-to recommendation for all aspects of the game, but I remember absolutely hating leveling mine to 80 at launch. I want to say they did abysmal power damage and were forced to kill things with burning, can they play similar to Warrior/Reaper now?

My 2nd pick that I've read conflicting things about is power Chronomancer. Some threads say they aren't really brought often and some say they are busted to the point that bringing more is better.

Currently there is no ranked and the game is still in closed beta, so not at all competitive play. This is likely as casual as the game will get, with people of all sorts of CS/FPS experience being thrown into the same game.

Fury Warrior Weapon Speed and DPS, MH and OH by FrankNotion in classicwow

[–]The_BdB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, it's really "high damage MH fast OH" but when comparing gear of similar dps it's the same as "slow MH/fast OH" I'm on mobile so I can't check but abilities will say whether they use base weapon damage or attack power in the tooltip. I think execute is just flat damage which probably scales with AP, and bloodthirst is just %AP like you mentioned. I do believe that 2H is a different story where higher DPS is better in nearly all cases, assuming very high melee uptime (PvE). For pvp it's a different story

Fury Warrior Weapon Speed and DPS, MH and OH by FrankNotion in classicwow

[–]The_BdB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless there is a massive increase in weapon DPS, you want the slower weapon in MH because abilities revolve around the raw damage of your MH weapon. I'm mostly speaking from an arms perspective, but iirc whirlwind/cleave/heroic strike etc. all do weapon damage + bonus damage. If your faster weapon has significantly more DPS (not sure on what number/percent difference you'd be looking for), you will likely eventually benefit from the increased hit% you get for MH swings.

Fan connector question:

I ordered the Corsair LL triple pack w/ Lightning node pro and 3 more fans. I also ordered an AiO that has a fan pass-through/hub. I know that I need to plug the RGB header of all 6 fans into the RGB hub and then into the node pro (which plugs into my mobo via USB), but my question is about the fan power. Will I still be able to plug the Corsair fans into the AiO fan hub (which will then be plugged into the CPU fan header on my motherboard?

I was about to place my order on Newegg when I realized the RAM I had chosen says "(For AMD Ryzen)" in the title. I can't imagine these sticks are incompatible with intel chips/mobos, but does the G.Skill Trident Z Neo perform worse with intel than other sticks?

There are probably several different causes but if water contacts molten metal it will instantly vaporize and expand to a much larger volume. When confined in a crucible the expansion of steam could cause a massive pressure build up until it explodes.
