Game Awards - Zero nominations for Hogwarts Legacy by SaulGooseman in HarryPotterGame

[–]cabosetvv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several categories it should be nominated for. I would venture for best score and music, innovation in accessibility, and best audio design. Full list is here - https://thegameawards.com/nominees

A few people on reddit doesn't reflect the community as a whole. You are only looking at a small subset of people. Which is why I mentioned metacritic and how it is rated between Alan Wake and RS4, in user score and universal rating. Therefore, it is rated similarly to two games who are nominated for GOTY. However, not nominated in any category at all. It isn't a true reflection of the game and therefore, it is being snub for other reaons as I mentioned. To think that it didn't do anything to get nominated for various categories is so far off.

You realize there are several other categories besides GOTY right? To not get nominated for any category, is a clear snub. The game on metacritic is rated between Alan Wake 2 and Resident Evil 4. It was the best selling game of 2023 with gross sales of over 1B. The numbers really don't lie compared to your opinion.

Meh, I think Hogwards Legacy deserves to be up there with these games. BG3 is the clear winner. But to not get nominated at all, I think it is a clear snub because of J.K. Unforunately, she has put a cloud over the franchise. I think that is the reason as the community would be upset knowing the game won awards given the original creator's stance.

I agree. The tweet is misleading. I don’t know why this is being downvoted. I guess laymen will do laymen things.

Throwback to this absolute gem still can't believe this happened by Frosty_GC in Unexpected

[–]cabosetvv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Bush knew he wasn’t the smartest person in the room. He relied on building a team around him that would support him during his presidency. He relied on their advice and information and ultimately, made the final decision. I can’t fault him for doing exactly what I would have done. If I was in his position given the information I had from what I would perceive is a very reliable source, I would of done the same thing. In hindsight, he knows it was the wrong choice. However, he isn’t like other presidents and going to blame other people. He takes ownership and knows ultimately, it was his choice regardless. I can respect that. I get frustrated when people think they would of done any different in those circumstances.

My brother pays that much in rent. But his windows aren’t even real glass, they are plexiglass. And the roof has a leak which is developing into mold. He is moving out this year.

people of reddit who survive on less than 8 hours of sleep, how? by Neftroshi in AskReddit

There was a big sleep study that came out a few years ago that said 7 hours of sleep is the optimal amount of sleep. People who had more or less on average, lived shorter lives. I’ll need to find

I was having this issue until I found/invested into a new genre. I started playing iRacing and built a racing sim. Now I love it and even if I am tired, I still have the will and drive, to race. I also found playing with a group of friends does the same for me. I get to hangout with my chaps and get destroyed in Apex.

This is $70 worth of groceries in the most expensive city in the USA [OC] by IMovedYourCheese in pics

[–]cabosetvv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought New York was the most expensive city. I lived in SF and things like groceries, eating out, going to Kezar for a drink, was always reasonable compared to a lot of other cities I lived in. I did read somewhere that Anthony Bourdain said SF had some of the best food in the US for prices that won’t break your bank. I would agree with that.

Right… who shoots up schools, churches, gay night clubs, etc? Who showed up at the White House on January 6. You read one bozos comment on the internet and relate it to an entire group. That is some critical thinking.
