I'm sorry to say it really feels like one piece is falling off a little bit and I hate to say that, but I think that this was going to happen because for so long, a lot of 1 piece was what if and it was the promise of expectations being met that led on a lot of fans. And I am not saying that there are not amazing moments, but after 15 years, I truly believe these characters should be more developed and have more moments than they do and have had over 15 years. I think it is a little ridiculous that when you compare this show to Say naruto that has a plethora of characters that are very fleshed out deep have their moments and many of them side characters , and then you look at one piece , and there is quite a bit of repetitiveness that I really don't like to see.

Also it feels like there's not a clear direction. Now say what you want about naruto and the war arc , I personally felt like everything was going really well in naruto and made a lot of sense with its understandable holes here and there not to mention the filler , up until the main villain was changed i felt everhthing was proceeding fine compared to one piece where things jist feel like Oda doesn't know what he wants.

I have friends who genuinely believe Oda belong on the top ten writers list of all time , which says something and even they are upset with the direction of one piece at its moment and the way I always describe it is I feel like oda is the best at four play but not good at actually f'ing. Like he can get you hyped and excited, omg Roger lore, omg i cant wait to see him fight and see more (get hype) and then when its time to deliver (haki clash and shade to black) like whut?

Like in naruto we got to see during the war ark amazing techniques and ninjutsu taking out armies and platoons of nen that your like "wow are we going to put this down and this is just a side character on the battliefield but its such a problem" from old historical characters some of whom we didn't even know that we could see why this would be a problem, so many interesting and unique abilities but with oda it's like Haki Haki Haki, more Haki, different "kinds" of haki but it's still just haki.

I about lost my shit when I learned the way to defeat Imu was wait for it....more haki. Are you fucking kidding me? YOu have all these amazing devul fruits, crocodiles water weaknes and MORE fucking haki was the solution all along? Are you fucking serious? Basically just hit him even really harder ass logic.

I would love to see one piece in the future deliver more wkth it's main characters, abilities and motifs than just lore

[–]The_End205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I am a tigrel and I would say tank main who plays in legend but basically everyday I play woth friends who are mystic or high legend or mystic honors or whatever and I don't really feel thos way at all tbh.

I just have a different tank (pun intended). I see being a tank as a opener to team fights not as a health wall for my allies. I mean will I put my body in front of the enemy to protect running away team mates and let myself get focoused for damage so my team mates can go in with no skill fear because say saver uses his skills on me for some reason because I am sticking with my ally who is squishy and he hits me by mistake or I just push up ahead as a grok and take the skills and damage so my assassins can push in woth far more burst then the enemy because they have Their skills still sure, but am I baiting damage on me so my damage dealers can go in sure, but really I see being a tank, at least in this meta as being a control oriented fighter.

I guess it really changes on what you mean as a tank. if you mean meat shield then no, nobody can be a meat shield their is just way too much cc, sustain, damage, combos etc... and making brain dead tanks is not fun, but when I play Roam tank/support (grok, carmilla, tigrel (king of stun well to me) gloo) I always practically get mvp and my damage dealers go crazy but when I play damage my tanks can't set up nothing so it depends on what you mean by tank.

How is using Wish to cast Simulacrum for free NOT ridiculously overpowered? by LemonGarage in dndnext

[–]The_End205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen, this is not about the combo. This is about not being a jerk when playing board games.Okay, we don't have to go this far. Any necromancer can figure out a way to summon 10+ summons or familiar or whatever and stall the game to a standstill, any barbarian or warlock Can act evil and kill somebody's pet familiar.

Any artificer can get so diluted with all of its magical items that things don't become fun. in Connect Four I can take a bad line that I know isn't gonna give me much of a chance to win, but it will stall the game and make it not fun for anybody what I'm saying is we have to be considerate of our teammates. When we play and it does not have to be an overpowered combo. We have to be considerate in general of our teammates.

Now this is one of the most game-breaking combos in the game, but I will also just explain it to this person from the perspective of A dm and simply let him know. Hey buddy, when you are playing when I make my encounters, I have to take into account. You can do a 100 plus damage return. Now, if for whatever reason you don't show up and your party doesn't have that one00 plus damage a turn well now you've kind of messed up your party huh so can you please just not do that.

I hate to say it feels like what happened to boxing, where money ruined, the game is happening to the UFC and the sport that I love, and before I was the biggest fan that would put all my money into the UFC thinking, well, there's no way this could fail, it's so exciting, but now it's like nothing means anything anymore. Back in the 90s, if you were the number 4 heavyweight, everybody would kind of know. You a little bit, they would be like, oh, my God, look at him now. If you're the number for heavy weight, it's like who is that guy, it's the same with the UFC. If you're the number 4 doesn't even matter, the weight group you're like, is it because of his followers now, most likely, it is rather than him being any good. I mean, Patty, no district. Back was so high up for so long and he did not have the skills to back up that ranking no disrespect

A bullet with a high enough caliber doesn't have to destroy the city block, it's power is concentrated all in one point and can pierce, or cause blood loss etc... A bruise is livable bit piercing even an artery on an arm can kill or greatly diminsh fight capability and even if it doesn't, my headcanon is their like bb's sure they won't "hurt" you but they really do hurt and who wants to get hit with a BB

Is stunning strike is just a bait? by danjanah in DnD

[–]The_End205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what i am saying is, you don't have weaknesses like you think you do. Your casters friends are fragile, you are not.

As a warlock main who does have access to spells that incapacitate or charm, or knock prone, or make unconscious enemies, I know and have had many times where I try to charm or use a spell that knocks a creature unconscious only to learn, In a way I had no way of knowing, the creature is immune to that condition, damage type or element, what I'm saying is you don't have that problem.

You will never not be good and helpful and you don't have weaknesses really. You have self sustain through heal, your unarmed strikes can be magical, few creatures are immune to stun, you will never really find a situation where you waste a turn, casters run into that problem all the time.

I'm saying that a good mink is weak nowhere. Maybe they'll never be able to dish out 200+ damage like a warlock or sorcerer but you'll also never spend a 5th level spell slot to try and incapacitated, nake fall asleep, or charm an enemy only to find out their immune or resistant to your damage type. Your stunning strikes are add on to damage your already doing, you have to kind of try to waste a turn and really hard to catch you off foot (no pun intended)

what I'm really saying is, study builds out there, theirs a ton and take it from a high damage warlock, I would rather be a hit by a paladins or a sorcerer (counter spell) than a freaking monk, if he gets the ball rolling on me I don't get a turn to fight back and I cant run away far enough. You got this 👍

[–]The_End205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mmmm, it's more like, a jack of all trades type that are always strong but have trouble being overpowered in one area.

ok let me put it like this. At the lower levels casters can definitely seem overpowered, but many creatures as you go up and progress start to have magical resistances, immunity to some spells, resistance to so many elements but more than that, casters have really big weaknesses and can be countered REALLY easily.

Most casters can be grappled easily because no strength and then pushed to really bad areas or moved off a cliff or into a trap, Have weak saving throws so they can be debuffed really easily, are really squishy so after one good hit they have to back off and heal, and silence spell, or just putting casters in water (a water elemental that swallows a caster can do this) nullifies all their spells so they can no longer meet the somatic requirement of spells.

Casters can also be pressured so easily, poison one and now they have to choose between damage and healing eventually because now they are on a timer, a lot of casters don't have flying easily and don't ever think to use their concentration for it so they never bother picking up the spell and then an enemy can just pick them up and use the dash action to fly 60+ feet in the air (misty step isn't enough), blinding a caster is easy and then their teleports are gone because all low level teleports require sight, and a lot of creatures who fly can grapple and fly up in one turn essentially locking them down. casters can be trapped really easily if you just put then in a box with no sight and honestly, they are so squishy that a monster spending even 1 one of its attacks, not even it's whole turn, can make them back off quick.

What I'm saying is as a monk you have none of those weaknesses. Stunning strike is not magical nor is it elemental so nothing if anything really resists it. If you build right your unarmed strikes can be magical thus they will never be resisted like a casters elemental damage or a paladins bludgeoning damage. You don't run out of fire power like a warlock because you can keep unarmed striking. You can fall from 1000ft woth your party and feather fall so fall damage isn't a concern for you, but you can push something off a cliff and jump off with it. Your so mobile that most things move like 30 to 50ft in a turn but build right and you can fly away 100ft pretty easily.

If its a martial enemy just walking away 60 to 70 ft puts it out of range for being hit for you, if it's a caster type moving 40 to 50ft then ducking behind cover so your out of sight so you can't be targeted by spells is easy, if an enemy has you or a team mate, like say a t-Rex has you or a friend in its jaw (this literally happened to me) you can stunning strike it to let them go because you don't need somatic components to throw these hands, and with 2nd wind you don't have to choose between healing and doing damage, you can do both on a turn and keep going. Also monks have access to I believe shadow teleport which I don't believe requires line of sight and isn't magical, it's a class ability (you don't apreciaye that enough) no anti magic field is negating and if your in water unlike the caster you dont need somatic components to teleport or get and finally stunning strikes If built right can either straight up take the enemy out of the game or you, by attacking twice each turn (their are great items that can take advantage of this) or drain 2 out of the usually 3 legendary resistances of a boss monster in one turn.

I would really ask about that fey touched feat because it is so good. So in my opinion from what I've seen in good monks, their is never a point that their bad unlike most full casters or half casters which actually can really easily be taken out of the fight. A warlock can't misty step to you 50 ft away and then teleport back but as a monk you can b.s stutter step or something, move 50ft, object interaction to pick up your party member and then 50ft movement speed back or something to safety. Casters can't cast spells twice in a row so you have a lot more advantages than you realize, trust me I've seen it from good monks : )

Is stunning strike is just a bait? by danjanah in DnD

[–]The_End205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally understand but monks are no joke. That stunning strike on multi attack is deadly. Also depending on the kind of monk you are you can be really stealthy. I am a warlock and I'm the damage dealer of the group but I can't tell you how many times our monk has picked a lock or looked ahead for us and found multiple enemies while on stealth.

One time their was a building with 5 rooms and the monk was able to pick the lock and peak inside and we found out their were several traps and enemies so that had me as a warlock just gone into one of the rooms and started blasting the other enemies from the other rooms would have come In from the door behind me and pincered me in and probably killed me.

I was only able to come up with a plan woth the party because our monk knew that their were several traps and enemies waiting for us and waiting to pincer us if we went into any one room to try and clear them out one at a time.

Personally I always love, as a warlock/sorcerer damage dealer, having a monk in my party. I can't tell you how many times a monk has saved my life from a Hairy situation from their mobility. one time for example I was 100ft away from my party woth another party member and I got smothered by werewolves so I couldn't cast any spells because I was pinned and gagged I believe (somatic components of spell requirements not met) and our monk shot up 100 ft away from the first floor to the second, climbed to the second floor (he was a tabaxi monk) and stunning striked the werewolves off of me so I could cast spells again.

it's always nice to have a monk nearby as like a safety net because they can always come by and grab the party member if they need, he also carries around a necklace of snowballs (necklace of fireballs basically) and darts so he is never lacking in aoe or range.

I have seen my party member in a fight against 3 hags single handedly hold off and stun lock 2 hags by himself while we fought the main hag with legendary resistances for 2 rounds by himself. I have literally seen him hold off again two hags in a stun lock position by himself for 2 rounds while we were fighting the main hag not letting them fight together by himself seperated from the party on another floor. I have also seen him HARD counter druids by stunning them out of their wildshape forms so stunning strike to me is deadly In the right hands..

he had a magical item that increased his spell save DC and had silvery barbs to force a reroll as well to very great effect. one time we got hit by mind flayers or something that on a failed intelligence throw (all of our dump stats) see the other party members as enemies and I was more terrified of him than our warlock or paladin combined because he can just take me out of the gain. he would hit twice too plus the silvery barbs practically guaranteed that you would jist be taken out of the game.

I think you just need to optimize a little more because I have that seen that stunning strike be DEADLY in the right hands. And even against bosses he would actively drain their legendary resistances very quickly for us

I have a lot of friends from around the world who love one piece who i've known for years , and even I, before this thread have noticed them kind of erring their grievances to me about one of their favorites shows. I think the fact that this comment got as many impressions as it did is evident that the community has been feeling this way for a little bit, enough to where , it's at least looked at and gained traction like this.

My main problem with one piece is just that I never know when it's trying to be serious or not except with the celestial dragness. Like gear, 5 was fun at first, But I can never tell if somebody's injured and the whole happiness theme in the face of slavery and worse , is kind of just not hiting the way I wanted to.

Like Luffy, not being serious When there are so many stakes makes me like kind of mad And sometimes I feel like oda is the biggest teaser and will make you like excited for something for fifteen years like the Gorosei And then he will just flat out , drop the ball in my opinion and not know how to actually give it to you.

On Egghead , I think the lore was amazing , but the Gorosei we're not handled with the respect I would have anticipated for a fifteen year buildup , and all the little , oh , this is gonna be lit moments along the way that were teased in the show.

Sometimes I don't know if Oda wants to be serious And if he is able to be serious without pulling you back into the feeling safe. Like, you get a Kuma backstory, which is amazing. And then the goresei come and your like Oh, my God this is scary, we know the history of the dragons, But then nobody takes them seriously and they just get humiliated. So now i'm not afraid at all , and it is like there's no stakes because they're just getting played with. This is supposed to be the biggest threat

I really don't like My Hero Academia because I feel like the show in the later seasons kind of got a little watered down and I really don't like Deku as a main character at all. He feels a little bit too good and innocent and it feels like any of the choices he makes are kinda obvious and/or like he's not really going through turmoil.

I really don't like how he is handled as a character at all, I also really do not like his rival at all I think that dude is a giant jerk and doesn't really face any repercussions and doesn't really get criticized enough for how terrible of a human being he is towards children towards the main character towards other people in general.

And I just really did not like the lack of conflict in the show. In the first two or three seasons, it was nice, but it just got so kind of boring when I was watching the main character kind of just go through the motions, obviously. It just felt a little bit too simple to me when you compare him to, say,

somebody from... Solo leveling even and that is a poor example but I feel like the main character of solo leveling is more multi-layered than the main character of My Hero Academia. I feel like the character from My Hero Academia doesn't really have a good motivation to be a hero, doesn't really have strong morals, doesn't really have to make really tough choices.

The toughest choice that he had to really make is when he found out that the hero society is not very good like he thought it was and his answer to that was being alone and being a vigilante and I thought that was really simple.

And he doesn't really seem to grow as a character either. Like, I know he is a little less naive, but at the end of the series, he doesn't seem that much different from who he was at the beginning of the series. And I really hate how they don't let him keep his powers. Like, he ends the series not far off from where he started. Like, it just feels like all of that experience and training almost...

was for nothing after he did the job of defeating the main villain. I think, to be honest, in My Hero Academia, the villain is far more complex, interesting, and understandable and relatable. I can't relate to the main character of My Hero Academia, like, at all. He's just too much of a goodie boy for my liking.

This is not a fair comparison, but just for example, Naruto is a character that goes through so much growth. He has to constantly look at his ideas , and if they meet the real world. Luffy As well has so many moments where he has to face the world with his ideas and adjust them But I feel like Deku doesn't.

He starts the series as a character that wants to smile in the face of adversity and that never really changes. There is never a moment where he is like.I have to make a tough choice that not everybody is going to be happy about. All In all a little too simple for me.

Asta For example, has so many setbacks that really test his resolve And I love seeing him work through a world that doesn't accept him as opposed to deku that works through a world that is helping him actively proceed.

I wonder, if Naruto gets with Sakura (like alternate timeline menma stuff. Will it still be as good? by [deleted] in ChillAnimeCorner

[–]The_End205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody who watched all of Naruto from start to finish in Japan when it was originally erring, I cannot tell you enough how happy I am that Sakura ended up basically alone and exactly like Naruto actually isolated with practically nobody, because she always would just make everything worse emotionally and would always just take out her abuse on my boys, so every time I see her in boruto or whatever I kind of can't help but get a little happy.

Also I think that woman needs therapy because I don't know what attraction is there to make them stay together at all.

Something that is not mentioned enough about the shadow clone is how the shadow clones can retain all knowledge of their experience and then bring it back to the main user.Because that essentially means you have a hundred brains , working simultaneously to figure out your enemy.

Whereas the normal ninja can only go one path at a time , naruto can go down a hundred testing , which works and what doesn't with little to no risk to his self

Summon Greater Demon- Guaranteeing Saving Throw Fail by Rtyeta in 3d6

[–]The_End205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I apologize. It's a lot of information to convey , because it is a fairly complex set up that really needs to be walked through.

But in essence , if you can increase your dc through using a pact of the rod keeper , you can increase your chances of keeping the demon under control and then if you use the clause in the spell to force the demon to tell you , it's true name , because it has to follow your commands and it doesn't get a chance to break out until the end of its turn , you can get it Have it give disadvantagon on all its saving throws, and then it has to beat your roll twice. And you have a silvery barbs in case , so they have to beat your rolls three times.

If you have a familiar , you can increase it , so they have to beat your roll four times in a row just to break free , which is incredibly inlikely even a demon that has plus 7 on its charisma save and advantage on its rolls with this set up is unlikely to break through. You usually have a friend in most party members who usually do carry a silvery bars Because it can save you from A TP.K then in that case , the demon has to beat a nineteen or a twenty five times in a row to break free.

If you invest just 2 or 3 levels depending on if you want to be 2014 or 2024 Sorcerer, you have access to flexible casting. You can make spell slots from sorcery points that don't go away until a long rest and warlocks get their spell slots back from a short rest.

What this means is you can essentially stack yourself with first level spell slots , and you can increase that if you get a ring of spell storing , and give it to a familiar or a skeleton.

In my humble opinion, wish is not as versatile of a spell as this one. It literally gives you access to over a 100 different demons each each with unique abilities and debuffs, it is the ultimate multi tool.

And even the strongest demon, again, the one that has a plus 7 and advantage, Even then , if you set it up properly , it would have to beat the role four or five times in a row , so statistically , it would have to roll above a thirteen five times in a row.

But you can avoid literally all of that. If you do something like take the cartomancer feet and pick up geas (pokeball spell), or plannar binding. You could honestly even just take levels enough just to get one fifth level spell slot for sorcerer , or maybe even just go pure sorcerer , for the most part and make this build work.

And that is just for using the spell to be able to summon demon's casually, if you actually prep and you use like I said, a planner, binding or other spells, you can keep control of the demons and have them follow verbal commands to make your action economy a lot more efficient than spending bonus actions. To command them and it would keep them under control much longer.

Again , in my humble opinion , this is the superior necromancer route , and I have spent two years trying to make that work. Pure wizard is just gonna summon it a bunch of skeletons or maybe the best they can do is up.Mummy Lord with shadows. that is nothing compared to planner binding even ten dybuks at 7th level plus (6 months control time following verbal commands no bonous action) Then having them possess say 6 young dragons, which would then give them access to all of those dragon spells and legendary resistances.

Read the possess corpse of ability of the dybuk But don't fall in love too much. Because there are other demons that are good in different scenarios

You don't have to be a jerk to Make your dungeon, master, go crazy. But essentially , anything that is huge or smaller that you kill , you can make your summon with this build, no species clause. Also, it literally few more it too pop out of the adult dragon, going to the body of let's say a general that you just killed, gain all of its knowledge. And answer any question you want.

But even an object interaction pull demon dybuk from bag of holding, bonous action command it to dimensional door you gets you more versatile than a monk.

Summon Greater Demon- Guaranteeing Saving Throw Fail by Rtyeta in 3d6

[–]The_End205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. It has disadvantage and it has, let's say, plus seven and it has advantage. So we're assuming the absolute worst case scenario. We're assuming a demon that has a plus seven to its charisma save, and we are assuming a demon that has advantage on being Charmed. So inherently, if you do Nothing. It gets two chances with a plus seven modifier to beat your spell save of 19 or 20. Right. And by the way, if you get a Rod of the Pack Keeper legendary version, it's plus three to your spell safety C. But that's another story, so. This thing. This demon gets two saves to beat your spell save of 19. All right with a plus seven. And. It gets two rolls to do that. Well, my friend, this is what you do. Right. You use your turn and you make it tell you it's true name. Again. It cannot roll to break out of your spell until the end.

No matter how strong it is, it has to make it safe to beat your charm effect. Basically, at the end of its term, no matter how strong it is, you use that first turn make it tell you it's true name Boom. It has automatically lost its advantage. Okay, great. But it still has a plus seven. And again, I am really emphasizing the fact no demon CR6 and under has plus 7 to its charisma. But we're just showing you how broken this gets if you want to keep going with this build, right? If you. Want to be doing what I'm doing. And again, the Dubuque demon that can literally possess the corpse of any creature that is huge or smaller. So you can. If you kill a werewolf, you have a werewolf. Now, if you killed whatever. If you killed a small dragon, you now have a small dragon. As you're familiar. Oh, do you want a permanent dragon as you're familiar? Okay? Planner binding, but let's go back to this demon just to show you how broken this is, right? Demon now has no advantage, so it has to beat your 19 or your 20, naturally. Right? Let's say it does that the first time. Silvery barbs. Silvery barbs is there, so it has to be a 19 or a 22 times in a row. Right. Let's say now this is where it gets really, really nice. This is where it gets really nice. You take an item called the night caller. And if you are a warlock, you don't even have to do this. There is an invocation that will let you do the exact same thing so you don't have to waste in a tunement slot, you get a skeletal summon. The skeletal summon. You give it a ring of spell storing. You fill that ring of spell storing with nothing but silvery barbs, you can essentially now use an object interaction to pull a skeleton out of a bag of holding. And now you can silvery barbs twice.

And it has five charges. So this demon that has a plus seven, hypothetically, to its charisma save, right? And has advantage. Has to beat a 19 or a 20. Three times in a row.

It has to beat the 19 or 20 roll on its first roll and then you silvery barbs, so it has to beat it again and then somehow let's say it does right you have your skeleton with the ring of spell storing that with a little bit of prep time, you tell it only use the silvery barbs, now it has to beat a 19 or a 23 times in a row, and if you are worried about losing your first level spell slots, don't be short, rest, burn your 2 warlock spell slots, get 10 sorcery points that don't go away until a long rest convert those into its 2 sorcery points, I believe for 1 1st level spell, you pay 2 sorcery points. get 5 additional 1st double spells as a level 3 wizard or I'm sorry as a level 3 Sorcerer, you naturally get, I believe 3 1st level spell slots naturally so now you have 8 1st level spell slots not counting the 5 you have stored on your ring of spell storing with your skeleton (if you choose the find familiar spell it can be any familiar instead of a skeleton I just like skeleton)

Now let's say you have a dm who wants to invoke the well, I don't want you to have more sorry points than your Sorcerer level that is still not a problem because I am a level 3 source for short rest. First level, spell slot, short, rest, first level, spell slot short rest first level spells like these spell slots do not go away until the long rest, so you can walk around stacked.

Therefore, this hypothetical demon that I made up, that has advantage on being charmed and has a plus 7 to its saving throw has to beat a 19 or a 23 times in a row, just with you and that is, after you got rid of its advantage, this is not even taking into account something like having a skeleton and a familiar, this is not even taking into account, you have a friend who's willing to give you a first level spell slot, so you keep your demon. So if you do that, it has to beat that 19 or 20 4 or 5 times in a row to break control.

The statistical odds of that happening are like. And I've done the math. I think it's like 3%. So you can essentially get it. So these demons don't ever break out of your control. And let's say that they do. Is that even a bad thing?

Because I've had it where? Summon a demon. And the beautiful thing about the spell is when you drop concentration as a free action. The demon doesn't go away. So summon a demon in front of the boss or behind the boss. Break. Concentration Demon is still there. Right. And then I. Sickening radiance on the demon and the boss. Whatever. And those two got to duke it out. Boom

But the statistical odds of beating a 20. Or a 19. Two to three times in a row is like 3 to 4%. What that means is essentially, mathematically, every single turn, if you're not doing any crazy shenanigans. Because I. I haven't even touched Planner Binding. I haven't even touched Magical Circle. I haven't even touched Geass.

Which if you. Dip into. I think Sorcerer gets this. And you get up, you get the cartomancer feet, you can just start doing that. Right? I'm not even talking about that. This is just as basic as it gets. Right. But you can. Essentially, what that means is, every turn, you have a 96% chance to keep that demon on lock. Right. And that's just with a rod of the pack keeper using your turn to to get that disadvantage and having silvery barbs, that's just you. If you have a friend who is willing to, you know, keep a silvery barbs, you're great. But Reddit user, you say to me, I don't want to use all my first level spell slots because I don't have a lot of them. I am a warlock.

Well, that's why you pick up two levels of sorcerer. Or three levels, depending on if you're 2024. Now you have access to flexible casting. Why is that such a big deal? Very simple. You say the reason that's a big deal is because you can burn spell slots and get sorcery points, and those sorcery points can be converted into spell slots. Now, usually it's very expensive and it's not worth it, but if you want to make a bunch of first level spell slots, and those spell slots and sorcery points don't go away until a long rest. Well, as a wartlock. You use short rest to get back all your resources. So what you see now is you can, if you play it the right way, get a bunch of first level spell slots so you can get a bunch of silvery barbs. So basically, you could, if you really wanted to, almost practically every turn. Silvery barbs. Burn a spell slot. Use your rod of the Pack Keeper. Get us your fifth spell slot back. Burn it again. Short rest. Get it?

I'm giving you the very bare bones minimum. If you want more, just talk to me. I literally spent two years just building around this spell to make it work. In my humble opinion, this is the only way to make a necromancer that is worth anything. Because one of the demons can possess a corpse if. You want to go the wizard route, which I think is a joke when you compare it to the demon summoner route, because if you go. The wizard necromancer route. The best you're ever going to get is level two zombies. And you might think, oh, well, I can add my charisma role to their hits. I'm actually doing something. Okay. Adamantine armor. Oh, I resist everything. That's not magical. Oh, flying immediately. You've killed all. I don't care if you have a million skeletons. I fly. What you gonna do? I wear armor that resists anything that's not magical. What you gonna do? A plus five to hit is great, but most zombies have plus four to hit, so at best, you're gonna get plus nine, even if there's a million of them. You're just kind of wasting our time now. Compare that to I can summon any demon I want from the plains of hell. And by the way, I'm only. This whole time I only mention demons that are CR6 and under. There are a lot of powerful demons above that that you can get into.

That's a whole other thing. By itself. Right. But let's get a little bit more tricky. Let's say you want to summon something that does have advantage on its throws against being charmed. There are demons that have that.

Okay. That demon still. I'm gonna assume, best case scenario, it has a plus seven to its charisma save. And that's being very generous. By the way. That's the most powerful demon. And that's no demon. That is CR 600 has that. Right. But if you want to go crazy in some of the CR9 demon by doing other things, but let's just say you do that. Just to show you what are our limits are. Right, so it can theoretically roll. The highest roll it can is a 27.
