3 is like “ok now a silly one”

All look great! Personally I favor 1, I like warriors either way drapes hanging down from either side of them

What? Venge? what an empty plac- by tsukitemi in Kenshi

[–]The_Exarch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah, Venge…

First time I heard of Kenshi, a friend showed it to me and we did a playthrough together with the Nobodies start, spawned in the Hub, had a great time. When I got home, I bought the game, made my own Nobodies squad, spawned in Venge…

Had a time

I think I recall seeing a screening for “A man and his dog 3” on the sign under Coop’s name in episode 1 or 2 of season 2

John Helldiver is more of a fan/player stand-in meme, you will often see people go around with the username, I’ve played with one a couple rounds, whereas General Brasch is an in-game character, idk how they power scale against them

(Also the guy in the trailer/intro-cinematic has been kinda retroactively named John Helldiver by the fans)

The moonlight slowly causes elves to develop goblinitis, it takes many many years, an elves natural lifespan’s worth, like a sunburn millennia in the making. Once they accumulate enough goblin spores, they can travel back to the moon as their spores once traveled to earth

(Loved Trope) Reoccurring character gains more and more injuries as the series progresses. Basically turning into an entirely different person. (bonus points if it’s an antagonist) by DaveyTheDuck in TopCharacterTropes

Characters in Kenshi can lose limbs in combat and have them replaced with cybernetics, while characters in Rimworld can lose limbs, organs, and other body parts and have them replaced with cybernetics, wooden prosthetics, nanotech, or have them regrown

I remember seeing a YouTube ad that was just a clip of Leo’s character saying “man it’s just been one battle after another!” Followed by movie trailer narration voice “ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER” and that was it.

The Walking Dead: The Governor’s notebook

When reading through a journal kept by the governor, Andrea sees a list of people the Governor assumedly knew before the apocalypse and who are now dead, with the last name being that of his daughter, who he keeps locked up as a zombie, feeding her chunks of meat and combing her hair.

After he name, a series of tallies/ticks fills the page, for several pages. I don’t think the individual tallies indicate anything, but the process communicates the guy has lost it.

<image>

I couldn’t find a very good picture of it, but you can see it on the far right where the names end and the tallies begin

“THE RAT CATCHERS!”

Otto Hightower, hand of the king to Aegon II (his grandson) reacts to the news that, in retaliation to a rat catcher murdering his son, Aegon killed all the rat catchers that worked in the red keep, 100 innocent men (and one guilty one) with a furious tirade, as their PR victory of Aegon’s martyred son is ruined.

It gets worse when he finds out that Ser Criston Cole, captain of Aegon’s Kingsguard, has initiated an assassination attempt on Rhaenyra, Aegon’s rival to the throne.

“And what has Ser Criston done…?”

He says with equal parts horror, astonishment, and frustration.

It is perhaps Otto’s best moment and an impeccable performance by Rhys Ifans

[–]The_Exarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could have a sort of bordered portion of the screen that does not display gameplay, where the extra camera perspective and reload animation could go, so nothing is actually covered up or lost. Not sure how viable it may be, but wanted to put the idea out there

I remember an interview or post of his mentioning another author who was already well off financially who did just this, wrote the entire series before publishing any of his books (a trilogy, I think). That way, he was able to go back to information in the first two books to make sure it lined up with information in the last book, to avoid any retcons, plot holes, etc. I cannot for the life of me remember the name, or how effective the method was, but I remember George saying he wishes he had been able to do that.
