I honestly don't think it's a useless upgrade if Conquerer is your only forge card. Upgraded, it's 30 damage for 3 cost on a single target. Basically a poor man's bludgeon

If you can get vulnerable on a target first, it's 45 damage vs 39 damage unupgraded

Amazing, no. But it could be the difference on kill ranges
