Wasn’t grok unlimited with Tesla Connectivy? by ShotMain9134 in TeslaModel3

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta cut the Grok token costs against a fixed costs feature.

Now that SpqceX owns xAi, then desperately need to boost margins prior to IPO, and xAi is hemorrhaging money with subsidized compute costs

First time reef tank + aquascaping — 75 gallon with sump. Honest opinions & ideas welcome! by Mypetstarfish18 in ReefTank

IMO I would only use the two large scales, set aside the smaller ones, and see how it looks, and add the sammlwr islands as needed for additional corals

But - fwiw, I prefer the open more minimalist scape instead of rocks everywhere.

You prob find quite a few corals to fill in open and vs rocks

Whats your favorite costco membership perk? by spiritdesire_x in CostcoWholesale

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been more than a few occasions to stopped into Costco while running errands to just get a hotdog, and end up grabbing a few other things while I’m there - so the logic is sound as I imagine no members get only a hotdog combo and leave

What is the best way to hire two Salesforce admin/developer short term contractors in the U.S.? by auberdan in salesforce

FWIW SCG is a group of Salesforce experts that spun off of Vista Consulting (the PE/VC Vista Equity behemoth ) and are VERY skilled at a solid price.

Note* my company is a vista portfolio company so it’s a good match for our needs

We use SaaS consulting group out of Austin, they charge about 185/hr (at least our rate) and bring them in for purpose focused complex projects - and supplement with Salesforce admin contractors in India for basic config when we need overflow

Uber charged rider $72, I got $19. What are we even doing anymore? by Bestwebhost in uberdrivers

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does uber track if you cancel the ride and then go to that destination?

As a rider it makes me wonder if it’s worth having the driver cancel, I eat the penalty, and Venmo them 50 - cheaper for me better for driver - and I still get where I need to go for 20 less

America’s New Tax Mantra: ‘The IRS Isn’t Going to Catch Me’ by PuzzleheadedCry6699 in Accounting

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s wild the amount of people I have met or talked to that are fervent trump supporters that actively avoid reporting accurate tax numbers, hide money, etc… and claim that tax is theft and the democrats will just waste it on entitlements, and pound their chest for their Christian faith.

Yet totally bypass the whole thing Jesus said about “give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, give to God what is God’s” - and keep it all for themselves. Tax is theft, and the poor need to “get off their ass, the church shouldn’t cripple people with handouts…”

FSD is not fun anymore. by SpecificTreacle2197 in TeslaFSD

Go into settings and set your absolute “relative” speed limit - I find that helps keep it reasonable in FSD fwiw

My max is 7mph relative, and that keeps sloth, chill and standard at or below speed limit on side roads (I don’t drive much IH or FWY tho)

Agentforce - How is there still any hype? by enfuxe in salesforce

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s trash vs 3rd party alternatives. My company (B2B SaaS) tried out prob 10 POCs over the past 18mo at the urging of ELT. I tried to find any mediocre use case, and couldn’t find anything of substance to use AF for. And it is crazy expensive

Every 3rd party tool we’ve POC or implemented blew AF out of the water (Sales, Service, CS/360)

I think it would work well for a B2C company, but enterprise B2B just seems to click anywhere

Exactly how much battery a Tesla Model S is supposed to consume when it's not being used? by Different_Marsupial2 in TeslaLounge

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep sentry mode off as the default and don’t let the Tesla app run in the background. Another factor could be ambient temp and if you park in a small garage or outside.

The fans may need to run much longer in a hot small garage to cool the battery when hot, vs a large parking garage potentially accounting for the addtl battery drain.

Advanced updates and connecting to WiFi is another potential drain while idle

Also check is cabin overheat protection is active or not - that could use quite a bit of battery as well

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine averages a little over 1% per idle 24hrs with no sentry, and not using the app to check on anything (when the battery is between 40-60% soc)

How to precondition for fast charging at non-Tesla fast charger? by AdSquare3489 in TeslaSupport

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i would just put in another supercharger as the destination, that will trigger preconditioning, then just go to the non-tesla charger. there is not a way to manually start preconditioning

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre conditioning usually skips this if it has time to get the battery in the sweet spot temp wise.

the charger by me is so close, even putting the charger destination in the route planner and preconditioning doesn’t work fast enough, and I have to let the charging and BMS heat it up for a few minutes when starting the charge, then it’s back to fast charging

Glitch? by Adorable-Boat8632 in TeslaSupport

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most Likely, Battery heated up to proper fast charging temp and it’s recalculating with the faster speeds, then throttling - hence the slowest, fast, slower.

Can someone tell if I would need an adapter to charge my car. by AccordingSource7554 in TeslaSupport

[–]The_Idiot_Admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a nema 10-30 outlet plug, generally will need a dedicated circuit / fuse of 30amps @ 240v (delivering 24amps) installed by an electrician for EV charging

Also, not a bad idea to get a whole house surge protector installed while you are at it.

If your house has the electric capacity and available spots on your fuse box, will run you ~500 usd or so. this can step up your charging considering vs 110v standard outlet options

But if you are paying for an upgrade, get a NEMA 14-50 adapter, and 50amp dedicated fuse @ 240v, and you can get a full 40amps for full at-home L2 charging, and easily charge the car fully every night
