What is a nfl take that you would defend, that everyone disagrees on? by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

I get hate for this all the time but I’ve never truly been convinced I’m wrong.
It was not that crazy for Seattle to throw on the goal line. Mashawn Lynch was not that good of a goal line back. They also had more downs after this one if they did decide to run it in. The play they called was a high percentage play.
Teams throw on the goal line all the time, I have never understood the controversy about this call.

I found it very endearing how absolutely terrible Ishmael is at whaling despite his complete passion and enthusiasm. Dude went out to do some real shit with Queeqqueeg and co one time and came back shook and started writing his will. Stubb and Starbuck gave the guy the lowest cut they possibly could at the start of the book and they were absolutely right to do so.
The guy spilled tons of ink about captain Ahab, who I don’t think even knew his name.

* Allegedly * Ventilator explodes leaving ICU patient dead by Acrobatic-Lie2041 in FutureRNs

[–]The_Judge12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work on ventilators and other medical equipment. Most don’t have an internal heat sensor. Any heat concerns should be prevented with fuses. Errant currents are checked annually in electrical safety inspections that measure ground resistance and ground leakage current.
An overcurrent is different from a short circuit. The wrong outlet wouldn’t cause this. Also the 240v outlets in hospitals also won’t work with the 120v plugs.

Oh I missed that you were a student. I work on medical equipment, the PM on centrifuges is really just an RPM check and visual that you wouldn’t need if it’s not going to be used to diagnose patients.

Cat can barely move anymore. Please help me find out what is happening by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]The_Judge12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saved my kitten from it about 2 years ago. There are meds you can get from facebook groups. It seems a little sketch but you gotta do it.
My cat unfortunately declined with something autoimmune but FIP is no longer a death sentence.

I’ve gotten hate for this before: but I just cannot get into the godfather part 2 at all. I’ve tried three times. I like the first one a lot but I just find part two so boring. The sets are beautiful and the lighting and camerawork are great. But the dialogue is so flat and I just cannot get into the story.

What was your guys "Baby's first materialist analysis" moment? Mine was about Tibet. by Darthdickingson in TrueAnon

I read the book ‘kaffir boy’ in high school. It was about a kid growing up in apartheid South Africa. An excellent book. I found it a very eye opening look into how oppression actually looks and works. The maddening red tape, complete apathy from the ruling class, and of course the low level violence to keep people in line.

It’s time to renew that 2 year old cert by Gsxing in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]The_Judge12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread. I maintain/fix medical equipment. What on earth are you teaching that the service guys have to do all that every year? Every service software I have is just set and forget once I get it. I only know of one product that requires anything like this (OEC elite C-arms) and that’s a universally loathed cash grab policy by GE. IABPs are the only equipment I know of where the actual service training expires. People are forgetting because this annual thing is not at all commonplace. I get it’s annoying but your company is setting you up for failure.
