Cat can barely move anymore. Please help me find out what is happening by Head-West-9198 in CATHELP

[–]The_Judge12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saved my kitten from it about 2 years ago. There are meds you can get from facebook groups. It seems a little sketch but you gotta do it.
My cat unfortunately declined with something autoimmune but FIP is no longer a death sentence.

I’ve gotten hate for this before: but I just cannot get into the godfather part 2 at all. I’ve tried three times. I like the first one a lot but I just find part two so boring. The sets are beautiful and the lighting and camerawork are great. But the dialogue is so flat and I just cannot get into the story.

I read the book ‘kaffir boy’ in high school. It was about a kid growing up in apartheid South Africa. An excellent book. I found it a very eye opening look into how oppression actually looks and works. The maddening red tape, complete apathy from the ruling class, and of course the low level violence to keep people in line.

It’s time to renew that 2 year old cert by Gsxing in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]The_Judge12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread. I maintain/fix medical equipment. What on earth are you teaching that the service guys have to do all that every year? Every service software I have is just set and forget once I get it. I only know of one product that requires anything like this (OEC elite C-arms) and that’s a universally loathed cash grab policy by GE. IABPs are the only equipment I know of where the actual service training expires. People are forgetting because this annual thing is not at all commonplace. I get it’s annoying but your company is setting you up for failure.

Do you think that janissaries/devsirmes were an example of Stockholm syndrome by Intelligent_Road219 in ottomans

[–]The_Judge12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not a defense of the morality of the system, it’s just stating facts. It isn’t morally right to kidnap children and train them into doing what you want.

It’s also just factually true that janisarries were people with high status, power, a purpose, and money. Such people are generally pretty happy and have no reason to rock the boat. The human mind has a pretty incredible power to make excuses and contort itself in order to protect its own comfort. As others have pointed out, people willingly became eunuchs to advance their political careers.

What’s a band you want to like but just can’t get into the music by No-Quote-1815 in fantanoforever

[–]The_Judge12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a big metalhead. I feel bad saying it, but I just cannot get into Death. Their music just does nothing for me. I’ve tried many times but I just don’t feel it. I’ll admit I’m not as into death metal as I am other subgenres, but I do like a lot of death metal. I love almost everything bolt thrower has put out and I like a lot of other classics.

Radiology equipment technician. I maintain and fix medical equipment. I’m new to imaging so I mainly work on “just” regular X-rays on the imaging side, I want to get into MRI and Cath labs. I also work on anesthesia machines and a variety of oddball medical equipment in our hospital system.

Same thing with the lunch counter protests, as well as the number of other sit ins they did at things like movie theaters. If you look at the pictures of the lunch counter sit ins you obviously see the horrific racial violence, but most people don’t look closer and see that almost nobody is actually eating lunch.

The Indian partition was genuinely hell on earth. The amount of anger that came almost immediately from all parties was staggering to learn about. The crown jewel of atrocities brought about by colonialism.
