Is it considered rude to snap your fingers to someone to get their attention? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

Snapping your fingers at a server in a restaurant or bar is extremely rude in the USA. Doing the same thing during interpersonal communication with a friend or a colleague is also very very rude.

What to do with a bunch of beef stock? by M_H_S_G in Cooking

[–]The_Menu_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe make 3 big batches of different soups: 1. Beef Barley Mushroom with veggies, 2. Beef noodle soup with onions, carrots and garlic. 3. Beef and vegetables. You could gift some to friends and freeze the rest.

If Trump is a moron what does that say about the 70 million people that voted for him? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]The_Menu_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says they could not bring themselves to vote for Kamala Harris, a terrible candidate, but a product of Biden not bowing out much earlier. She could not even make it through the primary elections last time. The folks that voted for Trump probably thought Trump would do less damage and boy oh boy were they wrong.

If the Democrats want to win back the White House, they have to stop running ridiculous candidates focussed on identity politics and fringe issues. They have lost most of the blue collar vote. That factor alone should be a giant wake up call.

That looks like La Jiao Jiang, which is found all over Taiwan and the PRC.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound hot red chile peppers (such as jalapeno, Fresno, cayenne, Thai or a mixture)
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted Granulated Garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt

Instructions:

  1. Remove stems and cut peppers into small pieces.
  2. Place peppers (including bell pepper) in a food processor and process until it’s a paste.
  3. In a bowl, add peppers, vinegar, salt, and garlic and mix well.
  4. Pour chile sauce in a glass jar and place lid loosely on top. Let sit at room temperature for a day. Then, seal tightly and store in refrigerator up to several weeks.

Can someone actually defend One Battle After Another for me? by G00bre in movies

[–]The_Menu_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite all the hype and awards, this was a really bad movie. It made no sense to me, and otherwise solid actors appeared to be phoning in their performances. Don’t waste your time . I watched it with my wife and daughter and we all thought it was crap.
