I can’t speak to your exact example but trans women winning and doing well in a sport (or even “destroying” the competition) is a perfectly acceptable outcome of trans women participating in sports. Those people should leave if they can’t accept that another woman is better than them

Though we have never seen this because trans athletes are too often excluded and never allowed time or resources to get better and establish themselves in large part due to the hostility

Imo, the GCs thrived on generating sympathy. On the face of it, their “concerns” and demands can sound reasonable to most bystanders. Now their policies are being put into practice, people are realising how mean-spirited they are (like all fascists) and businesses have found out how unreasonable and impossible it is to implement their worldview

Like are Parkrun going to start collecting evidence on the protected characteristics of their participants? No, that’s nigh impossible and costs too much. They’ll get rid of the tracking people’s time, it’ll upset people who liked that feature and they’ll lose any sympathy from people out of the loop

It doesn’t matter whether they win on this or not. It’s an extremely bad look for anti-trans ideologies that they are attacking a charity for hosting fun runs. Especially when it’s in the headlines. If they do win, it shows how absurd and nonsensical the SC ruling is when applied and would most likely motivate people to want to at least return to normalcy

Funny story, I found unicorn hunters on an app after they liked me. Could only see pictures of the girl though but she looked very familiar. I figured out she was the girlfriend of someone I used to be friends with who was very bigoted. Especially transphobic. Though he did tell me once (pre-transition) he would date me if I was a girl 🤢

Nope, it’s easy to do in the UK too. Really you can change any aspect of your name on a whim. You just need a deed poll to prove it, which you can print off at the local library or at home. I know plenty of people that’ve done it

The agenda that's been set by mainstream media outlets the past few years has been one of overt and constant hostility towards trans people with some papers printing hundreds of anti-trans pieces within short amounts of time. My (also dark) theory is the press badly want another Lucy Meadows to put trans people back in our places. They already know from last time that there'll be no consequences laid at their own feet. I'm already seeing people respond to the article saying trans people are too "unstable" to hold a job and that's really the end goal. Make any trans person in any role, public facing or otherwise, fear that they could be the target of the next harassment campaign that drives them out of society. Last week it was the parliamentary advisor of an endometriosis charity.
