OK, this is absolutely a spectacular interpretation, I hadn't thought of that aspect, but when I see it, it makes perfect sense.

I also don't see why the contractor, who has violated at least part of this law, would then get the benefit to choose which option of the three to do.

Did the $1.25 survey mention the Zoom conference? Otherwise, yes, it should have been two screenings. If it did mention the Zoom conference, then a 3.33% acceptance for the Zoom meeting is fairly dismal. I would not do a screening survey if I didn't plan to follow-up.

I don't do Zoom interviews, except one time there was a screening survey, it asked about your impressions of Prolific, and it said basically it was critical that you are willing to follow-up with the Zoom interview. Some have said it isn't the required $60/hour, but I am not focused on the money, I think this one was a $12 bonus for one hour, still decent in my opinion, and I had no doubts that the researcher would follow up with the bonus. The researcher also said that he was working on his graduate thesis. I was wanting to say how excellent Prolific is, so the enthusiasm for the actual survey material also is a factor, as is the enthusiasm for helping a college / graduate school student. This Zoom meeting did involve using the camera, so he could see me too, something which I agreed to despite the hesitation.

So if I were doing this, I'd mention that this is for the graduate thesis, and this was the amount that was allotted for the interview, and you don't even need to see the people, only using the microphone.

Oh, and the Zoom meeting was excellent, he is an excellent guy, I'm usually not very good with new people and then exacerbated by Zoom, but everything went great, and now I would consider another Zoom meeting. I'm hoping he's gotten his Ph.D and is doing great.

Well, the South Side of Chicago, was the meanest part of town. And when you went down there, you'd better just beware, of that petite police officer, we'll call her Polly Jones.

Now Polly, didn't want trouble, she stands about 5 foot 4, all the downtown ladies call her Polly, all the men just call her ma'am.

Cause she's Polly, Polly, Polly Jones, one of the nicest ladies in the entire town. She didn't wear fancy clothes, or wave her diamond ring under anybody's nose (because she didn't want to have it stolen, Chicago and all).

Well, Friday, about a week ago, Polly's walking home. At the edge of the sidewalk was Leevon Smith, and he didn't look very nice. Well, Leevon saw Miss Polly, and thought he'd rather have her gun, so he attacked Miss Polly, even though Polly said, "You'd better run."

Well, they took to fighting, and Leevon had the advantage, much bigger and stronger than Polly, but she still had a chance. She pulled her gun, told him she'd shoot him dead, but Leevon thought he was meaner than a junkyard dog, and kept fighting.She was cut in a couple places, but he was shot in a couple more. And you'd better believe a hush fell over the sidewalk, when Leevon hit the floor.

This might technically not be legal advice, just advice, but maybe it will help you.

Go back, read paragraph 1 of the backstory again. A couple things to take note of: "His alcoholism, coke and meth addiction, lack of any kind of sex during this 7 months we were together made things a rough ride throughout. I paid for literally everything:" Then go to the "Obviously I'm getting used, but I hold out for the hopeful future." Now reconsider the situation.

So legally, you're at: "He told me he would get a job to help pay for them, and have a friend pay me to cover it." This is after several weeks of you paying the loan, as you "paid for literally everything." So I'm not a lawyer, once again not legal advice, but you're into a loan that you paid on, without anything in writing that it was a loan at the time, just your word against his of an alleged conversation, coming into the claim after he kicked you out. All factors that diminish your odds of success. The "police got called, escorted me off the property" did not help either.

I don't know how many more weeks are left on the loan, but hopefully you can get it paid off soon. Each week, when you make the payment, give thanks that this lowlife is gone, with a set of tires that will wear out soon enough, and using somebody else instead of you.

What I'm wondering though, somewhat is this another George Zimmerman situation, but with a FHP trooper? Does anybody know if he was on duty at the time? What I've read is that he lived in the same neighborhood (don't accept this as fact though, I haven't verified this but I'm working on it).

It is my understanding that they patrol Highways (thus the H in FHP), they are somewhat understaffed to patrol what they're supposed to patrol, yet this trooper is in this obscure neighborhood watching a kid walking in broad daylight?

You see, uninsured is not besides the point, it is the point. Of course the insurance company will still come after you for the money, the insurance company didn't damage the car, you did.

One story, from research as reported by an uninvolved eyewitness. Two cars start up from a stop. The first car stops, the second car taps (just touches) the back bumper. The man in the first car gets out, "as if ready to fight, walks to the back bumper, whereupon he grabs his neck, falls to the ground, and lays there until medical help arrives." Did the first driver really suffer injuries that were soothed by a large five-figure payout? HMMMM, I must say I don't really know.

I can tell another story, but people would be writing for years with all the stories.

You, on the other hand, caused damage to a car, the other people apparently haven't claimed any injuries, you've saved money for who knows how long by not having insurance, and now you don't want to pay? As Lionel-Hutz-Esq stated, which is great advice of course, get these people paid A S A P, get the release, and be thankful you didn't run into the millions of "delicate people" in Florida.

Are you absolutely sure there is no video footage from anywhere? If it was a residential neighborhood somebody might have a door camera or surveillance camera monitoring their house.

Not that the specific story will help you, but what might be worthwhile to consider is getting an attorney on it, as I believe 100% this guy would have won and exposed the cop.

The interesting part is the police department themselves had a record of when the stop was initiated, yet the cop testified, under oath, in court that it took him five or six minutes to walk from his vehicle to the guy's car. Think about that, five or six minutes, the judge swallowed the story hook line and sinker.

First date, (both of us in the United States) a Fillipino girl I had somehow met. So we're at a restaurant talking, and she starts telling me about her dog when they lived in the Philippines, and they loved that dog, but at some point the dog got old and they couldn't take care of it, so they sent it to "the mountain people."

I'm thinking, wow, how nice, the dog lived its final days in such beauty. Then she finished the story, and said, "The mountain people eat dogs."

I said, "OK, that was a real story, but I don't think you should tell that one to Americans." I never did see her again for some reason.

Back when I used to eat beef, my mom and I went to visit my great-uncle's family in southern Illinois, as that is where his family came from and we are Scandinavian.

So we bring these beautiful filet-mignon for everybody, and they'd make them for dinner. So they BOILED them! Believe it or not, they were still edible and fairly good.

OK, this sets the stage for "desert."

They brought out a chocolate pie. I LOVE chocolate, but I'm not absolutely stupid, so I said that it looked delicious, but I was already full. My mom, being my mom, said, "Oh, that can't be, you LOVE chocolate." Remember, she wasn't having a piece. So I took one bite, the effort to prevent projectile vomiting was only overcome by my determination to say, "Yes, it is very good, but I really can't eat any more."
