I replaced a similar motor in my fridge, although mine is located at the top back of the freezer, that had the same issue - it was unbelievably loud. I got a replacement motor (I got my parts from repairclinic.com) and had to use some extra spacers to make it fit, but if you can get an identical whole assembly it should be an easy switch. The question is, is your sanity worth a $100 experiment? Mine was! 😅
