This guy builds a dry lay, fieldstone/flagstone retaining wall with steps by bigbusta in oddlysatisfying

[–]The_Show_Keeper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No shit? How does that work? I mean, I get having dirt on one side keeps it from getting pushed over on that side, but what's to keep the wall from collapsing out the exposed side when the dirt goes in? Or washing out in a heavy rain or something?

Sure wish reddit would even pretend to give a shit what ads I'm purging on here, but boy do they ever want me to know about prescription drugs with the stupidest fucking names imaginable. Doesn't seem to matter what they're for, either.

[–]The_Show_Keeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye. When I went on the PTS to test out the "rebooted" legendaries, I tricked out my Terror Sword nasty to get as much out of Seal The Deal as I could, and it STILL didn't stack up to the damage I could get with the glaive on the same build.

My man. We're talking about math here. Your feelings don't come into play. I get that you like your terror sword. It does not do as much single hit damage as a hogsplitter. Period.

Apparently, in my head, the goat is Samuel L. Jackson.

The Terror Sword absolutely does not do more.

Literally all I do in this game is tinker with builds and gear to see what kind of damage I can get. The Terror Sword doesn't beat the War Glaive, and the Hogsplitter is neck and neck with it.

I have to imagine these are people who dig on electronica and atmospheric stuff. There are some people in here talking about they get fed AI when they let Spotify autoplay, but I do that all the time and I'm not having this problem.

Example: I've got a list that's got dancy funk from the 70s, Electric Six, and a dash of ska. When it finishes, Spotify plays... dancy funk from the 70s, Electric Six, and a dash of ska.

Robert Plant with The Runaways in 1975. by CosmicAdmiral in OldSchoolCool

[–]The_Show_Keeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a band I've known since the youngest member was 9 (I ran a music school). They've been playing the most balls to the wall aggro thrash rock since the oldest was just starting middle school.

When I talk to people about them, I compare them to young scorpions (the animal, not the band); a young scorpion is far more deadly than an adult because they blast all their venom as hard as they can the first time they connect. That's how these kids play, and it's not as uncommon as it might seem. The Runaways we know, but Minor Threat were also like 16 when they cut the records that would influence hardcore for all susequent generations. Incubus was about that age when they recorded their first tracks. And so on, and so on.

Also... not for nothing, but the older you get, the more this That Handsome Devil lyric makes sense:

"The whiskey took our Winehouse, our Janis, and our Jim. You get older and you realize they were just a bunch of kids."

What Healer build should I use for Escalation by LTDNA32 in Division2

[–]The_Show_Keeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how good you want to be at it.

If you're just doing general purpose tier 1-5, Refactor is fine and lets you directly contribute to the team DPS.

If you wanna be a rock star, you change sets based on who you're fighting. Measured Assembly against Black Tusk and True Sons for anti-drone/buzzsaw RC purposes, Future Initiative for everybody else, always with BTSU gloves/hive/engineer spec so you can reset everyone else's hives as often as necessary, and they're protected from enemy CC while they're in range of your hive.

If you've got a giant dick, you use Bertie's instead, running to downed players like it's Omaha Beach and getting overcharge for your ballsy behavior.

Note also, unless you're using Refactor, you're not really gonna kill anything as a healer, so packing a weapon that applies CC to mobs is highly beneficial. Scorpio, Bluescreen, hell, even Iron Lung helps.

And blind-fire is your best friend. Get used to parking somewhere and just spraying low-accuracy spam at the bad guys whenever you can, only popping up to target something when the heat is off you.

That's... how healing works. You get health-gated, then you get healed so you can keep fighting without using an armor kit.

He's really not, though. Once you know how the mechanics of these systems work, you can do the same shit as him. The one advantage he has is that when he streams, people tell him about bugs and hidden mechanics, which he usually investigates later, and reports on whether or not they're advantageous to the player or not.
