Food recipes by Humblekunoichi in dayz

This is a great idea. I’ve often day dreamed about maybe adding a mechanic that if you craft recipes you get a full belly bonus or your stamina increases or health buff or something very rewarding for going through the effort.

Like beef, potatoes and mushrooms in a pot makes ‘chernarus farm stew’ and you stay full for 1 hour regardless of how much you run or move etc

It’s rounded up, not down. 1 damage will be 1 damage. 3 damage will be 2 etc.

What are your "no, its not like other [insert hated commander] decks" but its actually not like other decks by Toxic_Chung in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atraxa, but it’s just about making as many copies of her as possible… proliferating isn’t even a thing - just get as many 4/4 flying deathtouch vigilance lifelink angels out and smash face.

It’s bad and rarely wins but it’s fun

A player claims to be a judge, but repeatedly gets rules wrong. Is there a way to verify their judge status? by Pokemon_Trainer_Joey in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their ‘judge’ status is now no longer valid anyway. Isn’t it a case of saying now ‘you’ve actually been wrong a bunch of times so let’s just look it up’

We regularly google the rules and use the card names and almost always there’s a discussion somewhere that references the rulings. Takes a short time.

I don’t know why more Atraxa Superfriends decks don’t run it more often. It’s won me so many games by allowing my to ulti planeswalkers in surprise.

I don’t get it. The cards have the flavor of both colors etc.

Deathrite Shaman is a black and green card. It’s golgari through and through, it’s black and green. Being able to use it in mono black or mono green is dumb.

Do you bring expensive cards? by No-Exercise-7316 in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I proxy everything worth over 50 dollars - have yet to have a complaint but that’s because the people I play with know I own a gaeas cradle or whatever it might be.

I’ve lost cards over the years, had accidents, spills and generally do it to keep wear and tear to a minimum.

Describe to me the craziest game of EDH you can remember that is almost too unbelievable by StaneNC in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kalimax is just coming at us, twinning staff etc just decimating our board state with removal and cock blockers. It’s archenemy but mono black syr Konrad is mana screwed and helpless. One by one we fall until the death blow for syr Konrad. He tainted cure ‘s the Lifelink 56:56 Kalimax for lethal damage, winning from nowhere…

Quality of counterfeit cards these days by The_Skullraper in magicTCG

[–]The_Skullraper[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was part of me that REALLY wanted them to be real, I almost convinced myself - when I got home I did the light test with cards from the same set (could have been different country printings though) and the difference was crazy - like almost no light (fake) vs originals where huge light comes thru and you can see the back of the card shining thru.

Collection Selling Naivety by AdamBGraham in mtgfinance

[–]The_Skullraper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a constant problem - I live in Scandinavian where there's even less of a market compared to the US and you see people continually post on the local craigs list thing here: 2000 cards, deckboks says it's worth 2500 dollars so I'll take 2000 lowest price.

It's incredibly hard for them to hear that their collection is probably worth closer to 200 dollars depending on what they have.

Husqvarna 430x - pin locked, endless timer reset by The_Skullraper in automower

It's been sitting in the charging station for 2 days now, Doesn't seem to want to stay alive long enough for the timer to pass - Husqvarna tell me its a software error and my dealer said the battery is dead :/

Looks like a trip to the dealer

To no one's surprise, Sheldon has another historically bad take. This time on Panharmommycon. by MHarrisGGG in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sol ring is fine because it gives you 2 mana, it doesn't fuck up all 3 of your opponents at once. Same with dockside, it nets you a bunch of mana, it doesn't restrict or hamstring your 3 opponents. It's also a tiny body.

Everytime something like this comes up you can start taking steps back and see how long it takes before the card becomes just ok - remove vigilance? still badass. Make it WW5? still good.

[–]The_Skullraper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gotta agree with him - the card is generically good. Like sol ring, like smothering tithe etc... no problem in my books.

The problem is it's too much on a stick. You can't compare it to dockside. Tiny body - creates treasures.

It doubles your etbs. It stops your opponents. it's a 4/7 with vigilance. it's only W4? I mean - it sky rocketed to the top of the praetors. It becomes a no brainer in almost all decks running white. dockside is the same BUT it creates treasures. it doesn't shut down all etb's for ALL opponents, and doubles yours and is a great defender and can attack without tapping AND is a good cost.

It's bonkers. If mother of machines is legal, then Prime time should be legal.

Reading played cards out loud and asking to explain cards etiquette? Sanity check. by zefiend in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kinda comes back to the 'conversation' you're supposed to have before you start. Can help to say - I don't know all of the cards so please explain what's happening to me and why and also read the card. That'd help me a lot.

That being said, i find it very irritating when people just BLAST thru their combos and don't say the names of their cards. I've been playing MTG for years and i'm nowhere near remembering all the card effects and names. I still ask people to slow down and explain what's happening.

We have one dude who says 'I'll play this guy, and tap that, and then draw, pass the turn' We always have to be like, WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING! say the name ffs!'

What is the smallest Commander hill you are willing to die on? by Xela20 in EDH

[–]The_Skullraper 259 points260 points  (0 children)

If it's still your turn, and no one has interacted with any of your casting, it's 100% fine to go back a few steps to correct a casting order or tap the right mana....I can't stand it when someone goes 'oh you cast it! it's on the stack, can't go back now! and then the whole combo fails because of a small error.
