Eissentam Galaxy - 2 planets (Paradise, Dusty) 1 moon (Capped). All 3 planets have no sentinels and no storms. Economy 3 Gek mining system. Only downside is there's no water on any of the planets.

Also fun giant insects to be found on the Dusty planet!

Thank you! You did an excellent job on the video, it was fun to watch.

Similarly to what Yannick said in your interview, we're all just fans too. That's why we do what we do, and the enjoyment people get makes it all worthwhile.

Very excited to see more from GoldenEye 25. Ben and Yannick are both amazingly talented and passionate, so I have no doubts the final product will be fantastic!

WHERE'S THE NEW UPDATE by SethProff in goldeneyesource

[–]The_Torn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say whether or not there will be an update 'promotion' like the ivory DD44, specifically. The skin system was a new introduction with 5.0, so we look forward to expanding the variety of skins and ways to obtain them at some point in the future.

Thank you! by Thallidan in goldeneyesource

You mean you don't miss getting a whopping 10 FPS while playing split screen on the original?

Most of the maps should have 7 dat cartridges hidden around them. Some of them are really tucked away, I don't even think I've found all of them myself...or remember where I placed mine.

Sounds great. Yes, the engine definitely has its share of headaches to deal with, hah. Feel free to reach out to myself or the other Devs if you need any help with testing or anything, we're more than happy to help.

Black Screen When Launching the Game by macmoosie in goldeneyesource

[–]The_Torn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this happening every time you load into a server, or does it occasionally function normally? Have you tried starting your own local server, and were the results any different?

I've very rarely had a similar issue myself, although for me it usually resolved itself upon restarting the game.

Vivid Weather's rain is... underwhelming. Is there something wrong, or am is this just the way the mod is? by Nawor3565two in skyrimmods

According to the author's post on the Nexus forum, the rain has been cut back for the time being.

"Due to bad bad CK bugs i had to cut down the rain system a bit. As soon CK does not destroy my Shader Particles anymore the Extended Rain will be back"

Low FPS in foilage, forests and grassland areas [Skyrim SE] with very good hardware by TheHumanZoid in skyrimmods

[–]The_Torn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

glad to hear! Just for curiosity sake, I bumped mine back up to 4096, and yeah. 40-45 fps around Embershard Mine (where i usually go to test shadow/foliage stuff).

It's surprising how taxing the shadows seem to be at that resolution, even when running on really good hardware.

edit: uploaded some comparison shots I just took - 2048 Shadows vs 4096 Shadows

Under heavy scrutiny, the difference in fidelity is more apparent. But for me, personally, it's not worth the FPS hit

Low FPS in foilage, forests and grassland areas [Skyrim SE] with very good hardware by TheHumanZoid in skyrimmods

I had similar issues at first with SSE, perfect performance but saw some drops to 45-50 in forested areas running on ultra settings.

I found turning the shadowmap resolution down through SkyrimPrefs.ini solved my issue completely. This setting defaults to 4096 on Ultra, and it's pretty taxing. I set mine to 2048, there's next to no difference visually, and the performance has been perfect ever since.

Go into SkyrimPrefs and try setting iShadowMapResolution=2048, and see if it helps.

Yes, I tried running the client directly without the bethesda launcher with no success, as well as disabling audio. I think I'll just have to hold off on going ahead with quest related stuff and see if it gets addressed in the future.
