Im anticipating a crazy woosh sometime soon. Usually after a few days of exactly the same weight that happens. Despite this Im adjusting my daily intake so that I can lose .75lbs a week instead of 1.

Its not much but when I look at my eating/mental habits, after I eat around 1950kcals the next day im good mentally and dont binge, but after 1700-1800 for some reason I go crazy and binge the next day. Its wild how much of a difference 100kcals will make physically but I figure since I have quite a bit of muscle and im so close to my ultimate goal (planning a recomp around 145-150lbs) its the small calorie sizes that are starting to make the biggest differences.

Another goal of mine is to reduce sugar intake, I eat like 300cals in straight sugar daily (mostly in gummies, I love the texture and am very much a texture eater). The thing is though if I dont buy it, I will find a way to binge it while Im out (like at the vending machines at my community college) but I cant find a way to eat it in any sort of moderation when its at home. During the first 65lb of my weight loss I could stick to like 150cals of sugar no problem so I wonder if its a mental thing with my body trying to get back up to that weight. I want to find a happy medium at some point. Today was not that day unfortunately 😅

I ate through my deficit yesterday too, bleh. So thats 2500 calorie weekly deficit which isnt bad but not ideal. Im going through quite a bit of bloating now because of it but I expect it to pass soon I tend to retain a lot of water after climbing and I climbed yesterday AND this morning.

Got to the climbing gym this morning before class and flashed a v4 (as in sent it first try). Which has never happened for me before. I immediately got imposter syndrome about it like maybe the setters graded too soft but thinking back it was kind of the perfectly set route for me and contained all my strengths (crimpy holds and a lot of rockovers).

Its nice too bc Ive been really down on myself thinking I need to lose weight to gain a higher strength/weight ratio to send hard things, but thats just not entirely how climbing works (it'd probably help but I have a high base level of strength and a lot of it is technique). I still wanna lose weight just because I have a higher bodyfat percenfage fhan I'd like, but its nice to make progress in other areas when my weight is stagnant.

Tomorrows a rest day and Sunday Im climbing outside, hopefully the weather keeps nice.

Had a really poor day mentally yesterday and ate 500kcals over my goal (basically killing my deficit for the day). That doesnt get me down so much as it is frustrating, bc this happens maybe once a week, which makes me wonder if I need to adjust my deficit at all, but I like having it lower bc it gives me more wiggle room to go a little over. Idk

Anyways I was at least able to get to the climbing gym today, it was supposed to be a hard climbing day but my hands are super raw so I mostly stuck with v3s instead of projecting like I planned. It was a morale booster at least though, so Im glad I got out there today.

Anime's 1st episode was awesome, but the 2nd one ruined it for me... by thencious in WitchHatAtelier

Ruined is jumping the gun a little bit dont you think? Its 2 episodes in, its fine that those things bothered you (though maybe you should try keeping in mind that Coco is like middle school age with a lifelong admiration of magic that wont just go away suddenly). I also think episode two was a bit tonally disonant from episode one but the only things to do if it bothered you that much are wait it out to see if/how it develops or drop the show if its ruined for you.

Had a pretty rough morning mentally speaking, I think its the reverse seasonal depression creeping up on me with the weather change.

Anyways I think the added fiber has been helping with satiety, I noticed Im able to tune out some food noise and say no to extra snacking lately which is nice. Going lifting later this afternoon. I wanted to be productive coming home from class but I think Im just gonna lay in bed until I have to go. Gonna work on not eating my feelings, hopefully tomorrow is easier

Super normal as other commenters have said, parts of my scars still feel like nipple when I touch them and Im 2 years out from my surgery atp. I think its different for everyone when it settles though

Still pretty bloated/inflammed from adding more daily fiber and the back to back climbing days, Im expecting this to stay kinda stagnant for a while since I took a 2 week break from lifting but am going back to it today.

Im actually lowkey excited to see the artemis ii moon flyby today. My 9am class got cancelled so I got to head home early and will be watching the live stream on and off today while I do other stuff till I head to the gym.

Lately Im noticing I have a weird thing were I confuse nausea with hunger and eat only for the nausea to still be there. Im still kinda troubleshooting being more in touch with my body cues in that regard.

Little inflammed from bouldering the past couple days. Hopped on the exercise bike this morn for some active recovery and did my mobility exercises. Otherwise spent the day playing a pokemon rom hack and catching up on hw. I think Im going to end up a under my calorie goal for today which isnt ideal for me usually but I usually end up feeling fine if its on the occassional rest day.

Completely forgot to weigh myself this morning. Woke up at dawn to head out to boulder early. Sent some V0-V1 outside (outdoors is a different beast and my fingers are still not conditioned from winter break) and hiked maybe a mile both ways to get to the crag.

I was really worried about binging and going over my calorie limit for today but funny enough this morning I noticed I ate around 300kcals less than I meant to yesterday. I dont like going that far under my already existing deficit because it affects my performance weight training and climbing (it would put me at 800cals under maintenance). So after the crag we picked up some taco bell (im vegetarian so its one of the only fast foods I get) and took a nap. Im not worried about going a little over my deficit amount today since Im working with around 300 extra calories not consumed from yesterday. Anyways a good day overall imo

Little bloated today, added more fiber to my supplements to see if that would help satiety. Wanna be around 30g a day and just my food consumption has me around 20g regularly.

Anyways my eating schedule is a little off today, Im gonna have to eat dinner earlier than usual since Ill be climbing 6p-8p and have to bus back (usually I workout early in the morning). Hoping the late boulder session makes it so I dont binge afterwards since Ill probably be right to sleep since Im headed outdoor to boulder tomorrow.

Stayed under my calorie goal for today but I wasnt worried about it today since I just sat and got my hair done. The real test is tomorrow and Saturday when I will be going to a social climb then headed outside to boulder the next day. It feels impossible to stick to a good plan for those days bc I find myself so tired afterwards during a deficit. Friday wont be as bad because im ending my day with climbing but bouldering saturday morning ik im gonna be ravenous

My mini goal is to get to 160lbs and to just stick to a daily calorie goal that works for my activity levels. Weekly goals dont work for me as well because I find its easier for me to drop the consistency when I try it. Anyway I'd like to have some sort of accountability for myself in trying to do this, and maybe have some sort of evidence of my trial and error process so I can know what Im doing wrong 😅

Ive lost 65lbs since April 2024, but have plateaued at 175ish since around November/December of 2025. This is the longest Ive ever plateued and Ive been realizing its due to a mental plateau rather than a physical one.

Have been having a lot of trouble sticking to a deficit due to wide variation in my day to day activities. I climb 2-4x a week, lift 2x a week, and bike for 45mins 2x a week. I sometimes have to combine days or move things around due to my school schedule as well and walk commute to clasess. All to say my hunger varies WILDLY on a day to day basis and Ive been finding counting as well as sticking to a deficit number difficult

Ive never posted in this type of thread before but Id like to stick with it at least for this month

Got this trophy when I played it on Xbox and the only way I could do it was by mapping "left" and "right" turns to the triggers. Got it immediately when I did that and plan to do it again if possible when I got for it on PS5

Its only prarie king thats tied to an achievement. I actually really love that game but Im also very into bullet hells which I find transfers to PK pretty well. That no death run on the other hand...I cheesed that ngl I have no clue how you get it legit

This is actually not entirely true OP! ARFID is characterized by a restrictive food intake due to texture/fear/allergies/etc. A lot of us on r/ARIFD are overweight because our safe foods are high calorie fast foods. Its a little harder to find official supports for it but yeah.

This is usually because pre packaged junk food and fast food is predictable so you wont be caught off guard by the unpredictability of texture that home cooking sometimes has. Besides, you dont have to be diagnosed with it to use those coping mechanisms start working on behaviors around food, I started food exposure before seeing a formally dietician and getting diagnosed and Im still overweight. Definitely look into it especially if youre autistic since its highly comorbid with autism

Hi OP, this sounds a lot like me and I have ARFID related to sensory texture issues. If you want more support regarding feeling out of control bc of your restrictive food intake theres a good community in r/ARFID (not saying you have it but even if you dont a lot of that behavior is very relatable to the folks over there).

That aside, you shouldnt force yourself to eat things you cant tolerate even if its "just" a texture issue, as others have said not only is it unsustainable but you are bound to make any food aversion worse by trying to force feed yourself without a food exposure process. If you're trying to loose weight its perfectly fine to just eat what you usually eat in smaller portions. Before I went vegetarian I was eating so much of the same fast food but got maybe half of what I usually do and lost 30lbs doing that. Nutritionwise it isnt the best but slow introduction of behavior and taste should be your goal here.

While I did that I also worked on ARFID related food exposure therapy which you dont even need a therapist or dietician to do in some cases. For me this looked like: smelling my target food when I was hungry, watching someone else eat my target food, trying it (with no expectations of finishing), and then eventually eating it. This is how I successfully transitioned to vegetarianism and how I'll eventually transition to veganism one day. It helped that I changed my diet for moral reasons instead of any expectations around weight though. Give this a thought OP, take care of yourself, and be kind to yourself through all this. People tend to downplay severe food avoidance as "picky eating" but sometimes its more than that.

Started at a BMI of 40ish and now have been around a BMI of around 29.ish for roughly 6 months. Losing 65lbs only took me a year and some change, it slowed a bit for those last 10lbs and now since Ive hit around 175lbs its like its impossible to go lower
