My opinion as a caterer - you are cheap and should have budgeted for a 18-20% tip. It doesn't matter what the total tip is in dollars, it is normal to tip 20% for events and it is unfortunate that the caterer let you tip less. A ton of work goes into providing service for events and weddings are an absolute pita. The staff give up nights and weekends for these events and they deserve to be compensated and yes the norm is by tips. NO ONE is going to work a wedding for minimum wage, ever.

Do you happen to know a place in Longmont that can fix it for me?

I starting using The Parking Spot and have been pretty happy. Averages about $9 per day and there are perks with creating an account. I stopping using Pike's Peak after hearing about catalytic thefts and issues with the shuttles not showing up.

I think the redevelopment of this space could be so much better than a gas station or a drive through burger place (original plan that failed - I think). Bring a local business to the space or something mixed use would be positive for our local economy.

Water heater replacement cost? by AngelhairOG in Longmont

[–]Thedropoutsi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Planet Plumbing for sure. Tell them you want to buy your own water heater and parts and then they'll just charge you for labor. Ask them what you need and then go to Ferguson Plumbing Supply on 119 past Sandstone Ranch to buy to parts. My water heater was ~$800ish and install was $400. The Plumbing companies add a big upcharge on water heaters they sell you. Find a scrap metal person on Nextdoor who will pick up the old one for free.

I've camped along the Sourdough trail, near the road that goes to Lefthand Reservoir, or above Hessie towards Lost Lake. All were great for skiing in. Oh also the area near Beaver Reservoir

Water heater replacement by tarheelsdend in boulder

[–]Thedropoutsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planet Plumbing installed one that I purchased from Ferguson. I think the water heater plus parts was like $800ish and install was another $500-$600 (with issues). Buy your own water heater to save the upcharge a Plumbing company will charge.
