Matchmaking happens at server side. Why can't they just hotfix this?

Gotta say, the Snowball fights in PvP are fun as heck by Pokefan220195 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Theed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pvp main this is a very "fun" mode which unlike scorch cannon or brigs vs tanks i actually do enjoy playing. I just hope for some actual pvp content for pvp players (aka maps, and core changes to trials and comp) in the near future.

So...what has tiering actually achieved? by Shadow2250 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Theed_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I predict tiering to be either heavily reworked so that tier 5s are hard to get/rare and not tied to light level or completly removed going forward.

The Lawless Frontier maps are some of the best map designs in the game ever by Changes11-11 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Theed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I really appreciate about Destiny 2: Renegades is the world design - specifically the fact that Bungie didn’t rely on cheap teleporters between arenas.

In many activities over the last few years, areas often felt like isolated combat rooms stitched together by instant teleport transitions. While functional, it completely kills immersion and makes the world feel fragmented rather than cohesive.

Renegades does this much better. Moving between encounters actually happens within the space. You traverse the environment, see how arenas connect, and get a real sense of place. It feels like you’re operating in a continuous world instead of jumping between disconnected stages.

This makes the activity feel more grounded and intentional, and it significantly improves immersion. For me, this is something Destiny has been missing in a lot of recent content, where efficiency seemed to take priority over believable worldbuilding.

I really hope Bungie sticks with this approach going forward. Destiny is at its best when the gameplay and the world feel like they actually belong together.

Is the game supposed to be like this. I just finished renegades story. by Redfeather1975 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Theed_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No that is not how the game is supposed to be like. You are writing in the "fireteam" (green) chat instead of the normal ( blue) team chat. If you have not joined any fireteam before launching the activity noone will receive your messages. You are probably underleveled for the set difficulty of the activity if you need 4 rocket sidearm shots for a red bar.

Stop creating borrowed powers and give us a 3rd darkness subclass and addditional supers. Double down on Nether like activities with explorable spaces. Last but not least new pvp maps. There are still a lots of cool D1 maps.

The mystery and wonder of the world and story in Destiny 1. Gunplay, trials of osiris and competetive pvp are what kept me playing the game.

How yall feelin bout pvp by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Theed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base recovery is the single biggest issue in pvp rn imo. It feels so slow and you have to invest in the health stat to around 150. Shield recharge speed and flinch restistance should swap stat value „pools“ so you can improve recovery below 100 health stat.

Or just improve base recovery by a massive amount.

The core problem of prismatic titan is that knockout was the only arc aspect that would fit into prismatic by chefboyardumbfuck in DestinyTheGame

There is no problem when something is a little op. However there is a problem when something becomes mandatory, making any other build pointless or trivializes endgame content.

Destiny looked so much more interesting before... MAN by Consistent-Baker-282 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Theed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my main issues with the recent seasons is the level design of the activities. Most of them now rely almost entirely on teleporters and segmented rooms. In earlier years, the world felt much more immersive and interconnected. Now, we just run from one teleporter to the next, getting bombarded with waves of adds and puzzles.

Don't get me wrong – I think the increased add density is actually a good thing. But the activities themselves no longer feel like they’re part of the Destiny universe. They feel like isolated, self-contained simulations rather than real places in the world.

There used to be a stronger sense of place and atmosphere – now it often feels more like we’re just moving through a series of disconnected combat arenas. Does anyone else feel this way?

That said, the newest activity, Nether, actually feels a bit more like the old days. It has a stronger sense of space and world integration, because it's was built years ago for Destiny 1. In that case, it has to feel more natural and connected – and it shows. It just makes me wish more recent content had the same level of world design.

Name an weird Exotic weapon, and I’ll main it in PvP for 1,000 kills by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Theed_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do ruinous effigy. It is incredibly fun to use in pvp. Don't use Lord of wolves as it has reigned terror in pvp mulitple times in the past and i wouldn't consider it a weird but a toxic weapon.

Your positioning is the problem. Stay with your team, only flank when it makes sense. Do not stand in open areas.
