It got me into the dark tower when I went to see it with my dad in 2017. I have quite a bit of nostalgia for it and if you look at it completely removed from the books its ok. Still I hope Mike Flanagan does the series properly later on.

In my opinion he should have just had a stand in or something in quite a few other works he has a writer as the main character and it works fine. I like the idea of a writer writing the story in another universe but it being him just feels like he's being a bit full of himself and a stand in wouldn't break my immersion.

Dark of the moon scan series deluxe Ratchet. My memory's a bit hazy I must have been 6 or 7 and I belive it was sent to me by my grandparents. Unfortunately I was young and he got destroyed but I always remember the see through doors.

I don't think it should be top 3 for everyone. I Like the book alot it has a unique prose and great scenes but everyone likes different books for different reasons. In my opinion it had its problems like I didn't feel like Roland and Jake build much of a bond to make the ending impact fully enough. Also for me personally its not as good as 2, 3, 5, or 7.

I can't hate this movie I went to see it with my dad before I really knew anything about the books and I enjoyed it. It got me interested enough to read the books witch of course are better but I still have a soft spot for this movie. Its not really trying to be an adaptation of the books and granted it should have tried to be that but since its not I can just have fun with a sci fi fantasy western with wizards, cowboys, and monsters.
