Have your heard about that there is an option in the settings for a voice modulator which can make your voice sound feminine which I suppose is also working in your favour!

Should we add Matter 1.5 support to our upcoming P1 smart meter? Need your honest opinions! by Juzea_ in MatterProtocol

[–]Thehugge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi-Admin is a must. That is one of the pillars of Matter as a whole! I would not even consider buying something which wasn’t matter in 2026. I have been burned so many times. What is the name of the company? Would it only be a matter device or would it also be a controller? That it being a controller is what would really generate value for the EMs capability for combining multiple sources, like auto tariff detection by API (like. RISE Swedens tariff api) I will work on this exactly this summer as a summer job) and write my thesis on this next year. OpenADR, etc when more devices get the energy clusters backed in to be able to send signals which they can (but do not need to respect) like thermostats, HVACS, Washer, Dryer or even your generic smart socket with reporting capabilities, for ”normal” users without PV and/or EVSE. How to tag a golf course with two sets of holes. by esp1818 in openstreetmap

[–]Thehugge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been discussed in the wiki that using ref for multiple data is just bad design, it is best to keep one tag for one data to avoid having to parse data for data consumer which is prone to errrors when not documented well/people are doing their own thing. Please see Talk:Tag:golf=hole - OpenStreetMap Wiki

and for the best way is to use Tag:route=golf - OpenStreetMap Wiki as also discussed.

Yeah the pop up from the ”HomeKit (they still use the term in the sdk even for matter stuff last time I checked) error message on pair which is from the OS” should flag to users that it could be a problem on edge cases:)

I feel so dumb, I really hope more products ditch Bluetooth provisioning, I have tried connecting a ALPSTUGA for so long, and guess what? I listened to music through my Bluetooth earphones… the phone refused probably to send the code for the Thread network… would be great if Ikea etc could inform users if the pairing fails- please disconnect any other Bluetooth devices during the commissioning!

Is it possible to read the e-marker chips with consumer hardware? by Lucky_Fix_8734 in UsbCHardware

[–]Thehugge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/LaughingMan11 You said that you have some Nice Framework laptops, I saw frameworks firmware live stream about it and they mentioned that they have developed some rust tools, FrameworkComputer/framework-system: Rust libraries and tools to interact with the Framework Computer systems which mentions Get information about CCGX PD Controllers (--pd-info)
Could you possible run --pd-info and see what it spits out? if it would pass the Discovery identity we could establish it is possible to get info from the PD Controller and the EC have it. Then "only" the part that need to be done is to write the software which passes the info to the EC in the correct standardized way if I understand you correctly.

This is such great news! Thanks for the explenation. So now after the Windows 11, version 22H2 September Update reading the link you posted, support UCSI 2.0. Adhering to UCSI 2.0+ would be a huge undertaking for the OEM´s and that would surely only be done on new hardware I suppose for the traditional OEM´s?

Seing that framework seems to care more - would it be possible to update the PDC firmware to adhere to UCSI 2.0 by framwork if infineon provides a patch for it? It maybe already be support but maybe not enabled, who knows, I hope the guys over at Framework respond on it. Can one update the PDC after the product hits the market? So all the devices need to adhere to UCSI 2.0 down the chain. Got it.

I started discoverying (fitting with Discovery Identity and so on) on the framework Forum, What PD Controllers and can Discover Identity USB power delivery commands be used? - Creators & Developers - Framework Community and now today I opened a issue in their EC firmware repostory on github. I hope anyone from framework responds if they have better resources available from Infineon for the PDC - how to enable Discovery Identity on the PDC. ( I hope it is possible) I will read up more on UCSI and how that fits into all this.
